There were whispers at the start of the season that Dragons had an easier schedule and were jumping on teams that were not at their best. It could be argued that now that these predictions are coming true, Dragons on sixth on the ladder and had a less then impressive win against the Knights. Dragons are suddenly looking like a team that a vulnerable, a big change from where they were earlier in the season.

Well they went away from what worked and are now hoping for 2 things to work. Pass it to the centre and Widdop kick. Earlier they were pumping through the middle with offloads.

They've beaten the Tigers x2, Warriors x2, Knights, a Thurston/Coote/Scott/Granville-less Cowboys side, and an out-of-form Panthers side in Round 1.

Once decent wins have come against Manly and Cronulla (who have been flat this year, and pulled out some lucky wins at the death).

And they've actually only got 2 games left against top-8 sides (Broncos and Manly)...

So I'd say they've have a ridiculously easy schedule.

1x Game against Melbourne, Nth Queensland, Brisbane, Roosters, Raiders, Rabbitohs. That worked out well for them!

Mind you, the key to making the 8 is winning the games that you should (i.e. against the teams below you) and they are doing that pretty well.

yep ... the usual re-sign the coach/players to long term contracts and watch the team implode situation.

Slowest backline in the comp
5 players out of 13 that actually look comfortable passing
Worst kicking game
Injury to our best player

The wheels are going to fall off now ...

Are you talking about the Dragons or the Dogs?

6th on the ladder . . . crikey, if that's vulnerable those below them should forfeit their season

They are tied on wins with 7th and 8th, and they will be without Paul Vaughan for the next month. Also if the Dragons only scrape in the top 8 I think some of their fans will be disappointed with that considering the start they had earlier in the season.

Their in a mid-season slump and they need to turn it around quickly.

The best thing that happened for every other club except Illawarra was a great start to the season, and resigning Mary.

Kind of a shame as Mary was a great player, did NSW proud.

Every other NRL club said:
Just keep Doust in charge, please.

Dragons play a very simple game based around ball control & discipline.

This works for them early in the season when the other sides are still rusty but as the other sides start to warm up and hit their straps the Dragons get left behind & quickly. They just don't have another gear in them no matter how bad they want to.

Same thing happened in 2015 when they sat right up near the top of the ladder after the first half of the season and collapsed in the second half of the season.

There's the foundation there for a good side, they've got some decent outside backs and a really good forward pack but their spine couldn't be any more uninspiring.

Don't get me wrong Gareth Widdop is a decent player but he's a support player, he shouldn't be the focal point of your attack. They really need to inject some more skill & I'm not convinced Ben Hunt was the answer, not for the money he's going to be sitting on anyway.

Did Widdop give Mann a fair go, I might've been half pissed in a men's shed but it looked to me like Mann was left out in the cold

There are things closer to home you need to worry about

What's with Broncos fans constant shit posting about other teams form??

Dragons fans should start a thread which speculates on what NRL coach roots around on his missus.
