Jason Ryles will miss the start of the season, after undergoing surgry on hos shoulder.

Other players from the Dragons squad who are on the comeback trail are follows:

Shaun Timmins (elbow)
Trent Barrett (knee)
Mark Gasnier (wrist)
and Michael Ennis (shoulder).

Better having these injuries now then later.

Hopefully things can turn around for the Dragons.

Barrett has done everything, played State of Origin, played for his country - just never won an NRL premiership, and time is running out for him.

In a recent article, he is egar to win an NRL premiership next season.

I think that's been said since the 2000 season. Dragons fans don't get hurt by bad news, it's a constant thing
You're in denial. Maybe it is a constant thing, but that doesn't dull the pain. Hell yes it hurts.

I agree, Canterbury are in the same boat and IMO in a far worse situation injury wise. Before resigning a team to a loooooooooong season in what, Decemeber? Let's wait'n'see see how the key players and their injury concerns are going nearer to March.

No one has won a premiership in December  [Yes, this last statement was in jest people]

Heads up for Dragon fans....3 changes required.....Get rid of Medicare boys Ryles and Timmins, and get rid of Brown. Its that simple.

who would want marshmellow ryles and no pass timmins?
As for brown? if he cuts the chop from the dragons his coaching career will be O V E R.

At least we know we are a chance next year. Unlike Broncos=OLD, & now seemingly finals chokers

Brisbane ? old ? i think you should check the avg age of the club..they are not the old age pensioners like you would think

In Broncos case I don't care about AVG's. You have heaps of youngsters I know, but most of them seem to be in their teens & that won't make a premiership side. You're senior players arn't afr off retirement

Wayne Bennett in his Australian side.
Blinded by hate Saab. As usual. Webcke is old, slow; a worn out warhorse. He was the best in his day, so was Artie. And if Petero's so tough, why has he always got his padding on the forearm?

Ryles improved out of sight after returning from injury. And he had already made NSW Prop.
