^^^ but surely sales are not up to where they expect them at the moment...

and the more noise that is made, and the more people who read these posts & realise there is the potential for a better product out there, the better off we will be..

we can't stop people from buying one if they really want one, but if the majority say 'no', we can get there...

I agree, there will always be the apathetic few. However if everyone who hates the 2010 jerseys they need to let the club know. The option to do nothing is to be happy to be continued to be served up shyte by the club and the jersey manafacturer.

it's a way to save $$..

you need to ensure the players jersey's are up to the rigours of 1st grade, that they can last a couple of games of pulling 100kg men around by the scruff of the neck..

to do this, you require stronger material, double stitching & overall better quality.. all of which adds up to higher cost..

the average supporter jersey goes through none of the rigours listed above, so does not need to be as high quality..

therefore, make it cheaper, sell at same price, make a sh*teload of $$$$

although, to prove a point to reebok, someone should switch the team jerseys with a set of supporter jerseys..

after 10 minutes of game time, it would be shirts (opposition) vs skins (dragons)

Cheers Muzby.

I think it's an absolute joke that you pay $160 for a jersey that is a copy of the real one, even with adidas.

I read a sh*tload of sooking for something which has nearly no problems. Sure the collar could be better, but that has been inherited from the Adidas jersey. Other than that the home jersey is fine. It is not as if the Adidas jersey was designed for winter wear compared to this "evil" thin Reebok strip! Or that either jersey is of official on field specifications. Or that Adidas never made an error regarding the V (anyone who owns the 1st Adidas made strip will know they had the same problem regarding the size of the V compared to the size of the jersey). Or that Adidas never made a bad alternate strip. Etc.

I think people have to stop hunting for an excuse to have a whinge and take it easy for once. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Plain and simple. It is all about context, and I think many people here have blown everything out of proportion.

P.S. That doesn't stop the alternate strip from being a bad design.

Tried the jersey on today at Robina A-Mart (so I can order it properly off the STGI website), and it was fantastic! Wore well, good fit, and look forward to placing an order. On that, does anyone know if the club will put numbers on the jersey if you order it through them?

And anyone who wants to have a laugh - next to the STGI jersey was a Cronulla one. One problem, it had no team logo or NRL logo on it! Just the sponsors. I knew people were embarrassed to be Sharks fans, but that is going pretty far!

Sorry to join the discussion late, but when I first opened this thread and looked at the first pic I was like "Holy sh*t! Why would fans reject that jersey, it's firkin fantastic!" What a disappointment to discover it's not real.
