So your definition of success is defined by NOT having 30 points scored against you?

Guess you could say sandow's non worrying paid off by 14 pts then..

Sandow was 100% correct, your edges are what we feared, and they where certainly the difference.

Bucking the trend...great game from Souths. Against any other team you may score 2 or even more tries with or without Wesser's brain snap, and probably go on to win.

You guys showed heart in defense. Ours was better this time around. But we have had three years to get it right.

Hold your heads up...looking forward to the rematch

Saints may be most feard on the edges, but who is it that gets the ball out and creates the space for the edges to attack? Sandow could well do to watch how Soward and Hornby steer the ship rather than trying for the individual brilliance that he seems to have mistaken for great play.

Having said that - great effort by the Bunnies tonight. A classic game that will be worth watching a few more times. Asotasi, Weyman, Hunt, Merrin and Tyrell were great in the forwards - great defence, stepping before the line, offloads, threatening line breaks - it was great to see.

As a neutral non-partisan footy fan, I really enjoyed that game last night. I thought both teams deserve a pat on the back. I just wish Souths could produce that sort of commitment in defence every game. But for a couple of silly mistakes they were right in that game with every chance to win. If they can reproduce that consistently, they will win a lot more than they lose.

Saints, great 80 minute effort and when the opportunities were there late in the game they pounced. Just a fantastic game to watch.

Great game and 2 nil would have been a good result
The difference was that excluding stripping the ball that we made errors and that you made errors plus a couple of fundamental mistakes.
Talanoa and Wesser made those “what were you thinking???” kind of mistakes that were very costly
100% commitment from both teams (except Talanoa chasing the 40/20 and Sandow not chasing after missed tackles), hard hits, good hands and end to end footy that all should be proud of
Good luck with the Dogs… I’ve tipped you!

I reckon to be honest that Souths have a fairly good roster but need some experience in the halves. An inatimate carbon rod would be more effective in then halves at the moment than what you have. I think Souths should get rid of Sutton if they want to be premiership contenders. He should be old enough and experienced enough to be consistant at this level. For all those who say he's a backrower, don't South's have enough back rowers. What Souths need at the moment is an experienced player in the Halves to play with Sandow, sure Sandow isn't a flash player but at least he has more time on his hands to turn his career around. I think what they should do is get rid of Sutton and make a play for Craig Gower at least he has a bit of experience, has won a grand final and has the cool head needed to steer the club around. He is the only player I can think of that is on the market that has those attributes that Souths need Anyway that is my opinion I personally hope they don't take my advice as they are not the team I support but anyway that is my opinion.

Love getting behind the 'Boo', and keep going until we get a penalty.

Further, nothing like yelling 'GETTEMONSIDE' as they kickoff.
