What about Steve Prices's deputy - Steve Folkes. Let's face it, if Price is dumped before the end of season 2013 there's little doubt Folkes will become the interim coach.

Another former coach with 1st grade experience is Jason Taylor.

Ol' fall down the stairs Taylor? No thanks.

I think Bellamy is somewhat of a John Buchanan. Receives lots of credit for players that don't need coaching.
Dumb comment don't you think.Bellamy coached those players to what they are now,Buchanan was in the right spot at the right time and spent most of his time taking videos of the players for his home movies,he was a nothing coach.

Stick with price, give him money to spend, he did better than sheens, bennett, smith, parish, daley, gould and brown in the NRL last season

Doust will have discussions with Sheens, Smith and Brown mainly because their agent will arrange such discussions.

I was never really big on the idea in the past but I am actually coming around to the idea of Tim Sheens coaching St George. I think the problems at the Tigers had more to do with the administration and Sheens going stale from too long at the one club. I think a 2 year contract and a fresh crop of players might be all he needs to reinvigorate himself.

I think he had a pretty lousy crop of players at Wests to be honest and too much of their game plan centered around Marshall. Without Marshall he might be required to actually coach the rest of the squad haha.

Completely agree breathingfire.. While I want price to succeed and be our long term option if mr doust is looking elsewhere he would be our best option..

We need a coach that is going to manage Doust. Look at Bennett, he told Doust what to do, he did it, we won 2010. A coach that is able to do that needs to be respected at nrl level with heaps of experience. So when mentioning candidates, ask yourself will he be able to manage doust. If they answer is no, then he isn't right for us.

Didn't Doust sign up Gasnier despite Bennett telling him he didn't want him?

Lets be honest, would we have won the comp without gaz? And as if Bennett would of said no to an ex-international on next to nothing. I am not sure where that story came from and if its true. But it wouldnt surprise me if that story was conjured up to make doust look like he still had a set of balls. And I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett went along with it so he could steal half our players, whilst making it look like he was leaving us in good hands.

Yeah I think this was actually a rumour that someone on the forum started. No way Gaz would be able to walk into the team if Bennett didn't want him. Bennett was the boss while he was here thats for sure.
