The biggest positive out of the game, was our goal line defense.

The team definitely lacks match fitness, with Moi Moi really struggling. Still it was a good performance by the eels, as history shows, we always seem to struggle in the opening 5 weeks of the comp. Something we havent been able to shake off since the BS days.

BTW, I believe the dragons have a lot of doubt in their ability to score points. They got so much possession and penalties, in the eels 20, and always went for the 2 points.

I think the dragons are going to be needing to change this mindset, if they are going to be challenging for the premiership this year.

that was extremely frustrating to watch on many levels, I thought we scrambled well of our line and at the end of the night still matched them in the try stakes, St Archer should of beaten us by more on the back of the penalties and possesion we showed against us we did the jersey proud by hanging in as long as we did.

St Archer will make the 8 but won't go any where near a grand final, they can only get so much assistance from the men in the middle.

Two tries a piece and the game was decided on penalties

Our defence was much better than our trials, and considering we only had 43% posession, I'm surprised we got that close

The Drags really should have won by about 20 points with the amount of ball they had.

Its only Rnd 1, onward and upward from here.

Amazing how well Inu can play with Tahu next to him. Be interesting to see who gets the nod if Reddy is available next week.

Good game of footy.

True true, not a bad performance overall given that we didn't have any ball for the first 20 minutes and never had much field position.

Dragons completed 93% which is ridiculous.

Great game for a round 1 fixture.

But really blaming the ref, saying we will improve but the drags wont. Some of you come across as petulant 6 year old kids, (yes gaba is included)

Simple fact is you were not good enough last night. Its round 1, you still have 23 games, 46 points to play for. You'll make the 8, as we will.

Parra have improvement in every facet of the game, as every team does in round 1. How much improvement each team has, well thats the key.

Pretty much spot on, we may have been on the wrong end of a few rulings but we dropped to much pill to win the game. You guys only made 2 mistakes which is amazing this time of year. Both teams have a lot of improvement in them.

I'm just glad the footy's back on. Parra tried hard and didn't give up so I can't be disappointed with the boys. We can still improve, and if we improve we'll win more than we lose.

Also, how good do our heritage jerseys look?
