Happy new year all.
I wouldn't be too excited about Suli yet.
He may have lost weight but his fitness is way behind.
There's no guarantee he starts in the 17.
After the end of year boot camp, I would say he is down the pecking order with Hook.
f**k.

That’s fine by me, if he is a man of his word and wants to play origin he will work hard to turn things around, also shows the good depth we have that the coach is willing to not stick and forget, I actually quite like that he’s not guaranteed a spot in the 17, we still have moga, feagai and bird who can play centres until he pulls his finger out

The concern is he has turned up at a new club and you would have thought he would want to impress early but he already has the wrong attitude and thinks he can turn up and walk into first grade. Hook may have a big job to do to turn him around otherwise he will be a very expensive reserve grader.

That aint fine by me. What stops a player picking up a 400k ( or was it 500k ? ) a year contract and then basically go through the motions and does the limited amount to get his contract money from reserve grade ? Grand larceny ! I Hope the Dragons have some clauses in his in case it goes pear shaped. Hopeful that he will buckle down and becomes the game buster that he can be.

Wrong attitude?
He has only started pre-season training early to mid December so i would expect he would be well behind those that started 1st week of Nov
Time will tell

Agreed, he has 10/12 weeks to get the fitness up and the weight down. I’m not worried , Charity Shield will be the litmus test.

I think some are missing the point about Suli, it’s clearly not just a fitness thing. He has been let go by other clubs because of a poor and lazy attitude.
Yes he has a lot of talent but there comes a time when you just have call a spade a spade, it’s an extremely risky signing and most likely not going to work out because of who he is.

Having said that, the kid can play so crossing everything that he works it out!

Maybe hold fire with the criticism until he at least gets 1 full game in the big red v under his belt

Yeah, nah. I’ll voice my reservations about Moses Suli now thanks, appreciate your advice though as always OT.
