I doubt even the quickest centres in the game would have prevented those tries. To turn and chase on such a slippery surface was always going to be difficult, the chasers won the race comfortably on all occasions. It was smart play by Penrith, playing to the conditions.
We failed in this department dismally. I have refrained from being overly ciritical of Price but this was an obvious coaching failure. On that surface some good angle cutback runners, and smart kicks are what you want in the red zone. And the thing is, this style actually suits our play because we're not a flamboyant attacking unit at all. Cam King tried to create some of those angles occasionally but was let down by the runners. Other than that there was zero. It was a tactical failure by the coach, no doubt.
True - I think Moylans try he just got there in front of our defender (Dugan perhaps?) but the others were fairly comfortable. Positioning from the fullback didnt help.
It's a big downfall of Price's - the game plan is the game plan, it doesnt changed based on opponent, lineup or playing conditions.
