Thanks Mickeylane, Ill go ahead and hire the bus for all of us to roll out there in. ALSGI, you get the tickets mate. Objective View- you make the dragons forever till I die banner.
Coffs- You make the Josh Dugan we will miss you banner.
3 more weeks boys! Fire up!
Forget the bus Crush, let's make a statement and all arrive via the Harbour to Homebush via JETSKIS. It would be in support of our illustrious coach and be just like Waterworld meets Dragonworld. Also we can escape quicker!

Can't see the Cows winning again, so us or CBR and the Tigers send out the big 2 winners.

Now, todays games are going to have a big bearing on our top 8 aspirations.

Do we support Penrith? Where a win by them cements their spot in the 8 but puts a huge dent in the Raiders chances.
Do we support the Raiders? Where a win by them keeps Penrith in reach and makes next weeks game basically our GF. However, a win by the Raiders brings them level with us.
Do we support the Dogs (wait till i finish vomiting) to beat Manly? This would also keep them only 1 game ahead of us.
So, if Raiders and Dogs win today the picture would be;
28: Cows, Manly, Pen
26: Dragons, Raiders
If Pen and Manly win
30: Pen, Manly
28: Cows
26: Dragons
24: Raiders

In any scenario our game next week is our seaon GF, so we need 17 fully fit players ready to play the game of their lives I just hope McGregor isn't playing darts when he's doing the team selection.

Go for raiders by 1, as long as we beat Penrith next week. If we plan on losing to Penrith next week then a panthers victory today is fine.

Do need the dogs to win vs manly. I'm not sure if that'll happen though.

Even if we make the 8..( which I personally don't think we Will ) we will only be making up the numbers. I am torn over this...Will cheer us on to make it but at the same time this rubber stamps the coach for another 2 years. If we miss out, puts more pressure on the coach and hopefully the board does something sooner rather than later.

This Year?

PENRITH will lose against Raiders, Dragons, Manly - 28 points (9th)
DRAGONS will beat Penrith, Bulldogs - 30 points (7th)
CANBERRA will beat Penrith , Newcastle - 30 points (8th)
MANLY will beat Penrith - 32 points (5th)
COWBOYS will Lose Cronulla, Tigers, Broncos (10th)

I love your optimism. I wish I could share it, but I feel we would lose both games given our poor form.

Making the 8 under this coach is a waste of a spot. If the players had played with the passion displayed against the Donkeys on Friday night against Newcastle and Souths we would have won and wouldn't be in the position we are currently in. We have a team made up of some very good individual players however the coach is incapable of making them function as a well oiled machine. As I said in another post if Bennett had been coach us on Friday night I reckon we beat the Donkeys. McGregors record this season is disgraceful. Don't waste a spot on us, let's use this failure hopefully to have this moron removed.

Hope for a fierce battle with injuries and suspensions galore! Then pray for 100ml of rain next weekend against the chocy soldiers! Dragons can scrape into this 8! What a year!

I beg to differ we will beat PENRITH extremely confident let's all stop being negative we have nothing to gain by being negative GO THE BIG RED VVVVV for victory

The Negativity is based on facts...we have won 5 of the last 15...speaks for itself. I think the boys had a real dig on Friday but once again came up short. At times we looked lost in attack...that all comes down to coaching.
I will be cheering us on to win our remaining games knowing that if this occurs the Board will tout this season and our current coach as a rousing success. Therein lies the problem...we make the 8 and there will be no change in the coaching ranks. I am absolutely torn over this. Don't know if I can handle another 2 years of rookie coaches who can't get our team to play for 80 mins.
I personally long for the 2009 - 2011 period to return when we played with hunger and passion and when we lost we played with heart every week. We all have short memories and that is why the board can continue to spin their tales at the start of every new season.

I went to watch the wallabies last night. Geez, now that is a rabble of a team that doesn't play with heart! Surely Chieka is on his last legs?
Embarrassing.

Yeah, and Saints were resoundingly beaten.

Is there a point?
Your claim was that the Melbourne game was the first time we were put on show. I disagree, the Eels game was the first, they showed literally every other team how to beat us and once the other teams got their act together, we started losing and had no back up plan.

Can I ask those optimistic about making the 8 - what's the point? What do you want to see? Realistically (save for the opposition suffering 4-5 major injuries prior to the game) we arent going to go close to week 2, let alone a premiership, this year with this coach.

So either we make the 8 and get bundled out in the first round of playoffs, meanwhile Mary and the board declare the season a success (because coming 8th is apparently a yardstick for success) and use it to justify their extension of McGregor, that smug f**khole gets another year of 'well we made the 8 last year' and the wheel of mediocrity keeps on turning, never allowing our club to return to on field glory...

OR

We miss out, Mary gets confirmed as the coach who oversaw the biggest fall from grace in NRL history (to go with all the other negative records he holds), fan pressure builds back up and the club has to deal with another off-season of fans unhappy about the result, meaning less chance Mary sees out his contract and our opportunity to actually build into a successful team again begins sooner...
