Bromwich and Blair have been ruled out of the Storm vs Sharks game. Gives Cronulla a better chance of winning which would put us FIRST!!!!

And Thurston limped off last night with a torn calf muscle, so that's a huge boost for us for next week.

We need to resign Ah Mau, Dugan, Mann and Widdop immediately as they are all playing well and we need to secure our top 17. Millward needs to get off his arse.

Dugan will go to the highest bidder and I'm still not convinced we need him as much as everyone thinks that we do.

The other three should be retained immediately.

Disagree regarding not needing Duges JDHD, if Duges played yesterday we would have gone even better. I think he's a critical part of our spine, especially in tight games as he's shown.
Nighty did well filling in as we all knew he would but I'd like to see him back on the wing. His kick returns (although very safe) were average, got carried back a few times.
Duges would have made Tommy twostroke look as silly as he did RTS a couple weeks back.

Terrific win by the lads yesterday.
I cannot believe the turnaround in form of Lafai, McCrone.
I was also wrong about Nighty, and Aitken.
The forwards remind me of the 1979 pack
It's early days but enjoying the teams heart and will to win, also the gaps being created by our forwards for our backs to shine.
Maybe there is something about Mary!
It's also great to see the U20s going well.

The changes made in preseason have made all the difference. A big part was the fitness and training staff and recruits Vaughan Mcinnes and Mcdonald

No surprise to learn that Manly dominated territory throughout the match. We were camped in our half for long periods. The overall territory stats favoured Manly 66%.

But it was the second 40 minutes where it became very noticeable with Manly 'enjoying' a massive 80% of time in our half.

On one hand this sounds great as Saints were able to score from limited opportunities, and it is a testament to the defence. But it also means that Manly's attack just sucked.

It's not the first time this has happened this year although it was more obvious yesterday. While it's tremendous to see the defence holding firm against these stats, I can't help but feel we won't get away with it forever. Stating the obvious when I say it would be nice to see more of the ball down the other end of the field.

always a pleasure rolling those anal sniffers.

my early hatred stemmed from bozo fulton's onfield behavior towards refs.

from there it deteriorated when they rolled us 50-20 in '86 which was a huge shock throughout league circles at the time.

then they stole o'connor.

then we didn't beat them for nearly 7 f**king years.

then they rolled us 61-0 in '94.

then they outspent every club taking advantage of the superleague debacle.

then they beat us in the '96 g.f. which included the "not held" debacle.

& now they have tampon as coach. mind you, that's their curse.

What I couldn't believe yesterday was how Manly treated McCrone with little respect. They obviously didn't factor him in in their preparation, leaving him to look like he had all the time in the world with the ball.

Very much like most forum members, they didn't expect him to run with the ball. Josh was able to get behind the defensive line because Manly expected him to act as a link man only.
