Carney is deadset crazy for turning Penriff down. Players only have a life span of around 10 to 15 years so the more money they can get the better. Why would he not want an extra 200k a year unless Cronulla are doing a dodgy and paying him extra on the side

why, beach life for penrith no thanks and who is to say Carney will be paying rent or for food etc, there many ways to make up for the rest of the cash including paying for his manager instead of carney forking it out.
