Bunniesman...he is an expert and knows stuff :sarcasm:

Yeah & his source is The Mole who is never wrong & just covers up by saying "things change" 2 weeks ago he said Carney was staying, so now he has an each way bet - if Carney stays he'll claim "you read it here first" & will slam others who had him going to Penrith.

His all time best was Cooper Cronk last year. He had a guess at 4 different clubs & none of them were Melbourne.

Carney and Soward would be a near perfect combo that would be dangerous.

MMM grill team saying deal with Panthers as good as done.

Yeah, the guessing game continues with Channel 9's gossip columnist saying the Warriors are offering big money as well. One thing for certain, Carney & his manager ( David Riolo ) have planned this very well with the price of a 3 or 4 year deal rising with all the interest from multiple clubs. He turns 27 soon & this will most likely be his last NRL contract, so good luck to them.

EXCLUSIVE: Todd Carney will remain at Cronulla after knocking back a rich five-year deal from Penrith today.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal the Panthers were informed about Carney’s decision around lunchtime.

It’s believed Penrith had offered Carney a five-year deal worth about $4.5 million.

The Sharks had been struggling to match the money, with their last offer understood to be around the $750,000-a-season mark.

Carney’s decision is a huge boost for the Sharks, who have not re-signed a single player since the ASADA scandal erupted in February.

The Warriors were also after Carney and had made the biggest offer, worth over $1 million a season.

But Carney was loathe to leave his new home in the Sutherland Shire.

So we can end that discussion.

Nice to see some loyalty on Carney's behalf. Knocking back and extra 200k a season is a lot of coin.

Well at least it gives Cronulla supporters something to cheer about. God knows, they deserve it.
