He needs people in his life that could maybe point out a good direction for him and support him.

Almost religiously I used to buy the smh on Saturday and both telegraph and herald on Sunday.
Can’t exactly remember when I stopped, maybe when I became an father.
Anyway, I then recall a few years later reading the Sunday telegraph in a cafe and couldn’t believe the dribble being printed.... absolute dross.
Only other time I can remember getting a Sunday paper was leaving shark park post Saturday night game - and it was FREE- forced into my hand by one of the Tele- soldiers - only to do the walk of woolooware, with their road covered in a sea of black and white, with many punters feeling the same as I

I found Gallens comment as Dugan walked away quite interesting. He said something along the lines of " He's found some pressure........." To me it appeared Gal was happy about it & knows that Duges is going to come out & slay them. I also think that maybe they had a pretty intense couple of sessions this week.
On a side note, I said to Ben Hunt a couple of weeks ago at a coffee shop, when he was copping a pasting from everywhere, "dont listen to those merkins in the paper mate, laugh at them. You'll bounce back". I dead set thought the guy was going to cry because somebody said something nice to him. Struggling big time.

I think it was a fail by the club in exposing him to the media when he clearly was not up to it.

Unfortunately it was out of the club's hands - the NRL forces all clubs to make all 17 players available to the media in finals weeks.
Let's hope it works in Doogs' favour tomorrow night ... and it will be really interesting to see where he plays if Ramien is fit.

Yep, the club tried to make Dugan and Fifita unavailable to the media, the media complained to the NRL who then forced the club to make all 17 players available to the media as per the finals protocols.
If I were the club, I'd put an edict out to all players that they just give only 2 word answers to all telegraph/gutter dwelling type journos. Have a bit list of which journos to answer properly to, and which to shut down Wayne Bennet style.
