I would not of done except in a previous game someone was under the impression they had been recruited by a faction and they even did up a fake QT for them. I guess its a issue with fake PMs. If you can't check there might need to be some limits on what they can say in them.

Nothing wrong with it. Nothing in the role says that I have to continue lying on the behalf of the false PMer, and I can't exactly ignore a string of PMs from a player asking for clarification.

Might be an option in future. It's going to prove the difference in this game, since micky following the orders would have meant Hogg staying alive.

The reason I have such a strong opinion if it, if that had have happened night 2 for example, mafia lose a power for the rest of the game, effectively an investigation of power, by someone who has claimed no power.

I'm DotA, someone asked for clarification, I just sent the original false info back, and ignored them.

Trying my best not to flood your thread with the dead Mis, but as a self-proclaimed fake PM expert I couldn't resist. I reckon the onus is on the sender to make it convincing enough that it not need to be questioned rather than the host to deal with it in a certain way. Surely everyone must realise that abilities like that are going to continue losing effectiveness the more they're used as people will be wary of them and know to expect them. I even used this fact to my advantage in Drew's Story mafia.

It's the exact same situation as the force vote, too.

Because pretty much everyone recognises a force vote now as well.

Probably would be if those with fakes cared and weren't using it for the sole reason of there is no other option.
