Only because he wasn't subjected to the Sharks until after that happened

ET would've won a comp if he left the Sharks
as would Peachey

How many players have the Sharks lost so far, without decent replacements?
Sullivan, Peachey, Dykes, Stevens, Galloway, who else.

I don't recall seeing any decent signings, and few juniors that are firing.

Oh happy day.

Umm, there's been Darren Albert, Ben Ross and Ben Pomery just to name a few.

Plonker.

The much anticipated Dykes-Kimmorley combo pretty much came to nothing form what I saw? Weren't able to combine and pretty much played as individuals.

Having witnessed Dykes years at Parra, I'd say he pretty much failed to combine with anyone there as well, doing his cross-field runs and not communicating what he wanted from his runners. The best half/five-eighth combo we had in the Dykes years was John Morris-Michael Witt imo.

I pity the team that buys Dykes, thinking that he is anything other than an individual player capable of showing some individual skill. He is not going to be able to run a team effectively from what I've seen over the last four years - if I was Manly I would opt instead for Michael Witt.

Would ET have if he went elsewhere?

There wasn't exactly a diverse range of clubs winning the premiership between 1983 and 2000.

So you've lost a class Fullback, an Origin prop, an interchange hooker/ half, a five eighth and a second rower and replaced one of those with Ben Ross. And you bought a tired winger from the UK and a centre from Pemriff.

Lucky you. What a deal!

I've got a nice bridge to sell your recruitment officer.

Ben Ross has played Origin.

Ben Pomeroy is an exciting up and coming player who knows laws relating to driving.

Darren Albert is playing very well in England.

Joining Cronulla = career going backwards.

yep, I already acknowledged Ben Ross, hopefully he will do well at the Sharks. He wasn't good enough to get a start at Saints but good luck nonetheless.

Pomeroy, good poaching, but I thought you need a fullback, a five eight, a second rower or a replacement for your idol, Sully.

I don't see Albert doing that either, and will acknowledge that he might do well in the NRL. Just look at Colin Best.

But then again, Besty escaped the losing culture of little brother and got on a winner a St George Illawarra.

I salute your loyalty Sullyfan, good luck defending your sinking ship.

I don't think so.

C'mon mate, give them something; the club is sinking back into the swamp and the rats are jumping ship.

Sinking ship?

Your opinion is worth squat on these forums, yet you're trying to pretend to know the future?

And you bag Ben Ross, but he's also been part of a premiership winning team.

None of which your over-rated hacks have achieved.

Are you're the voice of the people are you?

Personal attacks always denote a clear lack of decent rebuttal.

39.

you know the rest of it.
So does Dykes, who was considered the missing link not so long ago but your tribe. He so desperate to go, he'll risk playing 2nd fiddle to Michael Witt.

Good one, but don't forget, that was with the coach that spoke so well of the culture of Cronulla. What was it?

"Chris came from the Bulldogs where they have influence and money, particularly when Bullfrog [Peter Moore] was in charge. The Sharks have no influence and no money.

"They have spent half their history staving off bankruptcy. Some seasons have been a success just to exist."

Another triumph for the scum. Penrith must have sent flowers someone at Cronulla after that.

Ben Pomeroy was meant to be out in the mid season for 3 weeks...he then was out for the season for an injury that will re-occur over his career. Its a groin injury and is very hard to shake off. I don't think you'll get your $200,000 worth out of him.

Therefore: Yes.

Your delusional!

I'm a Penrith fan and absolutely think Ross is magnificent.

But that was last years NSW team.

If you think Ross would make the NSW team with Ryles, Bailey, O'Meley, Mason, Simpson ahead of him...no way he'd make it.
