I'd have him back

For all the stuff I say about Dykes, I still think he's Parramatta's most capable player

And I must admit now that his career has faltered, that the reason I talk him down all the time is not that he's a bad player (though that's what I say), it's because he left us and then talked up Brian Smith's Parramatta at the expense of John Lang's Cronulla

That said, I wouldnt spend too much on him

SS i agree, but would he find some form if he came back??? would we want to spend anything on him at all if he isnt playing a high standard of football, he has had a few injuries the last couple of seasons....and does the comments he said about cronulla deny him in the fans eyes of getting another chance in the shire?

If Parra release him, they are still in for half are they not?

that may be different if he asks for a release and is granted one but word on the pond is that he'll be shafted.

Has not been too flash over there the last few years at Parra.

Probably got his best years behind him. Might be wise to avoid another Mat Seers debarcle.

Parra still pay him his CONTRACTED amount for next year, while WE pay Parra his MARKET VALUE for next year.

I don't CARE what he is on, but if WE can get him for, let's say, $50K or $60K, then do it.

Gee Dykes Missed tackles average has improved.
I dont know the exact stat but he was near the top of the NRL in that department when he last played for us.
