Look, whether you like the bloke or not he's been one of our best this year. Just look at his stats. He's argueably having a better season now than in 2001 despite playing in a weaker side this year and also playing out of his natural position.

7 tries, 8 line breaks & 12 try assists speaks for itself.

I've got mixed feelings about whether he stays or goes. We probably need an organising half more than a 5/8 but he could do very well playing outside Kimmorley for you guys. It all depends on whether Orford comes to Parra or not.

Unfortunately for you, that says more about the rest of your team than it does about Dykes...

I will say that Dykes is a better option than Riddell. But Riddell is f*cking useless too

I dunno. I would rather us hunt a better 5/8 or give Bird and Aitken more time. I don't see the value in going back and picking him up when he hasn't had his best few years.

My thoughts:

I don't like the bitch. He walked out on us when it suited him to do so, and that displeased me massively.

HOWEVER. And this is a big however. I think he would be the perfect foil alongside Noddy. His long kicking is his biggest asset, and probably Noddy's biggest short-coming. Dykes has no idea what to do when the team gets into a scoring position, while Noddy has a good idea.

I'd take it, especially if it was cheap.

Why do I get this feeling Dykes will be our 5/8 next year?
Orford to Parra,Riddell to Parra,Morris to 5/8 means Dykes is spare.
Parra would obviously have to release him.
Plenty of rumours around about it too.
I suppose Orford may stay in Melbourne or consider a move to the Knights.

Wouldnt be to bad to get Dykes, although after Birds performance he looks imrproved and to add to this we also have Aitken, do we really need to throw money in that position when we have tow youngsters here already?

I don't think so Hulka.
I think they are more than Happy with Kidley.
Abrahams etc.
they aslo have that young bloke in the lowers at 5/8th
& of course there is Ennis who they will never let go.

You make a good point Mick. Also, don't forget Stu coached him back in the U-21's too.

If Dykes was cheap, and I'm talking no more then 150k, I'd say take him.

If he wanted any more then that, tell him to foik off.

This obsession about Ennis being a Shark has me concerned, Hulka. ;-)

You and me both Sully.

Hulka told me on MSN the other night that he had a pull over Ennis' profile picture from the Knights website.

I was so sickened, I retched.
