Do you think if Smith had the Colts O-Line or Browns... he'd do much better?

I'm not saying he wouldnt, just want your opinion. All I've seen of smith is that he will be a backup for the rest of his career.

Russell has a cruise missile arm, vince young can scramble...

If Smith had the Colts O-line.... even wore a Colts uniform they would be Division winners.

Last year the 49ers Line did enough good run blocking that teams were focussed on that, now that they cant repeat that this year, teams are attacking the O-line and it is crumbling.

If they can run the ball effectively it will give Smith more time to pass, without having to improve the line.

Mal: i believe the quarterback rating system isn't relevant. A player can throw 4 touchdowns and an intercept and would get less of a rating than a player who throws 1 touchdown no interceptions and not much yardage.

Looking at that list, anyone who knows anything about NFL know that Vick was an inconsistent and near pathetic passer. His running ability certainly helped him get time to find an open receiver, but his throws were very sketchy. Carson Palmer, as a pure quarterback, is the third best quarterback in the NFL now (imo). He has a good arm, good presence and he's smart.
My point is that in his first season as a starter his QB rating wasn't some abnormal year(In comparison to #1 overall's) to the point that they need to give up on him less than 10 games later.

If you watch the game tommorow you'll come back here knowing that Smith isn't the problem. Is he part of the solution? Not sure. But something tells me it goes further than Smith if Gore can't get it done either. The offensive line is terrible and is worlds apart from the Colts, Patriots and Cowboys in terms of protecting the QB.

Smith got hurt this year after being planted right on his shoulder by an unblocked 320LB DT.

 Forgot to put Clemon and Engram in fro Alexander and Brady. I'm lucky I won by 2 pts. :D

I know.... I thought I was in with a shot cos Brady wouldnt play this week.... and then you left him in and I thought I was a shoe in.

Too bad I didnt play Jason Campbell and Ryan Grant or even sat my QB like you did, Phil Rivers -2 is costing me a draw at the moment.... All I can hope is that Alexander gets 1 rush for 1 yard and loses a fumble.... then the draw is back on the cards.

Watching the SF-SEA game.

You were right about their O-Line. Part of the problem would be that stadium, but still, they can't contain Seatle's D-Line.

Still from what I've seen of Smith, his release is shocking and the throw doesnt have enough power. That does come with confidence in your protection.

Protection is so bad that if a defense dropped 10 and rushed 1 they still would find a way to get Smith sacked. I doubt it'll improve any time soon which is bound to kill whatever confidence Alex has left.

Watching that offense was just painful... Defense showed signs of life after going down by 3+ scores.

Leading Stonecutter by 73-56 but Stonecutter Sharks still has Hines Ward to play yet. I could do with this win to keep me in playoff contention.

Well the big showdown with Stonecutters this week, and then another of my RB's gets a season ending injury. I am having no luck on the RB front.

I should've tried to get someone like Fargas, Grant or Kolby before but I thought I wouldn't need them.

Hopefully I’ll be back to full strength come finals time.

Just found out the trading deadline has passed, didn't realise, I would have tried to trade Tony Gonzalez a few weeks ago if I knew. Damn well need a RB. I suppose he will provide good trade bait next season.

:fist: I put a claim in for Derick Ward as well.

Back to the drawing board.

Lol, I figure he will be good for one week, and vital backup for Jacobs who seems to get hurt easy (SBW mark 2?)

The Shineys have bounced back beautifully this year after the abysmal effort last season but it's all over unfortunately. Coach Paullyboy has decided for tactics reasons to 'rest' a few players this week.

after clinching my division, finally, it took a while, i find my team up against the dazzlers.

my players' matchups are pretty good so i'm confident the dazzlers are going down. although peyton manning against the raiders scares me a little.

i'm sure one of my qbs can toss a few qbs, but which one?

decisions, decisions.

Not a bad run from my team. Considering they finished last last year, it looks like it will be a pretty quick rebuild for my boys. I'm hoping to get into the playoffs next year.
