Firstly - I haven't been drinking. Well, not much anyway. :lol: I was just thinking about the fact that alot of people have put a fair amount of pressure on us regarding being one of 'the' teams to beat this year etc. Forgetting, for the most part that, apart from ozzie, we're a team of rookies and, for a team of rookies, we're doing ok. The virtual melons did the Roosters proud last year and, while we are lucky enough to have an ex - VM as our captain who has brought alot of experience with him, no one in the team can hang their head. I have enjoyed reading the improvements in everyones articles as they find their writing niche. Just wish i could find mine. :lol: :lol:

Anyway boys and girls....For a pack of Rookies with an experienced head, we're doing good. Congrats one and all.

I totally agreee with you The backpacker - win lose or draw I am pleased witht he standards of the writings of the team. It's not only a game but a chance to express yourself and put into wwriting what sometimes you can't say for fear of ridicule.

We are second and it is good to see...an average of last week of 8.5 is nothing to sneer at :

Good point BP, we are just a bunch of Rookies and I always feel somewhat daunted when people say we are the favourites. The VM's are certainly a team we can look to for inspiration, but the reality is that we apart from Ozzie don't have much experience.

Also we have 7 players at the moment and unless we can get some more are going to have to back up each game. I think though the thing we have is a real comaradarie and genuine team spirit. I'm very competitive and am playing to win, but it will be a bonus if we do. Whatever happens, I also have a great respect for all the other Players in all the other Teams and will be genuinly pleased for the team that does win this season.

Pen - (is that better BP) are you doing a second part to the interview with Fitzy - I recall asking you this and you said that was it, there wasn't a second part. was I going mad or dreaming or what??? Congrats to the posters whose articles have appeared on the front cover..

No darlin' that was it with Fitzy, he ran for his life, but the 'Interviews' continue with other Players who weren't as fast as Fitzy.. :lol:

I never realised that we had a forum 7's thread in these forums, and was more shocked to see that I am second on the list in the Roosters awards when I have only played in 2 matches. (Maybe I should continue to complain about Hodges in my posts. :lol: :lol: :lol: )

Ozzie, I will try to come up with a post but I have limited time over the next few weeks and Phil Gould and the NSW BLues have done me no favours when they beat Qld. I had a great article planned to use when the last website went down but know it's not much good. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I can't remember any team members post that has been less than an 8.4 the whole comp I think. Has definitely been great team effort every week. Is there a points table somewhere for the competition? Have we actually lost a game yet? I remember an early match that was very close but can't remember if we won it or not.
