Easts to Continue in Forum Sevens?

ok, decision time. we havent got a team of five posting in quite a while. in previous years we've been the first t' whinge when we all posted and other teams were no shows by half or more. realistically its not fair on the teams we're playing t' continue in this way. either we get our shyte together and make a concentrated effore t' get five each game which may mean someone taking the reigns until oz is back on deck and steering the team or we offer t' give the points t' other team like a bye for the rest of the season and rebuild for next year. in this case, maybe we could look atthose few that seem keen being lent t' other teams that are struggling for players this season with easts being the first option for next year should the team be ressurected. opinions welcome and wanted.

it seems there are a couple of teams really needing players. sharks have struggled all season with just a core group and have played extremely well despite not having a huge playing roster and the bags have had a few retirements and are another team that appear t' have a small core group and several part timers. food for thought. if we decide t' fold, we can approach these teams as a team maybe and see if they're willing t' pick up interested participants. it would be a shame t' see members go t' teams allready stacked with players

As for Easts, you may notice I was trying to put a side together for this Round, but only one player put their hand up. I would hate to see this team fold.

I will continue to try my best to take this side on (if you want me to) without it clashing with my Lions duties, which I doubt it will.

But you need commited players who can play most Rounds, that's what Easts need to find.

I'll help you as much as I can.

rb i was getting there. just learning this mod stuff in terms of sticky's and the like. thanks for your offer but i think we need someone who is commited t' easts only as if the team is t' be saved its going t' take some commitment on the part of whoever puts their hand up.

As for stickies and unstickies, you should be able to see a drop down menu at the top which says 'thread tools'.

I am really keen to keep playing in this comp and would love it to be for Easts. I can play every game and am more than happy to. I know I'm very much a newcomer having only played last season and a few games this one, but it would be a real shame to let this team slide after all the hard work that has gone into it in previous years, by players past and present.


C'mon Easts, let us not go the way of our namesakes!!

awesome bubbles. i think we've lacked a bit of direction lately and may need t' name an interim captain until ozzie is back or otherwise. we definately need someone sending out game PM's etc and giving us a boot every now and then t' kick start the lazy (myself) ones amongst us. once we see who answers the plea re the team actually staying put i guess the next thing is t' see who wants the temporary C next t' their name.

i can still keep playing for the chooks but not in the near future. different work projects have sprung requiring me to take attention away from things out of work. i can definetly play but it'll have to be in 4- 6 weeks unfortunately.
