I read some reports that he was carving it up in the SG Ball and playing a bit of Flegg as well. I also read an article saying that he was a future First grade half back with a lot of potential.

Anyone know much about him?

Not sure if he is related, but he is definately not a brother of theirs.

I heard he played a big part in the SG Ball side making the final. He could be a player to keep an eye on.

Should benefit from having Jason Taylor at the club next year. That is what Rhys Hanbury lacked and it pretty much destroyed his career.

I have seen Eddie play and he has the makings of a very good half back. He carved up not only in the SG Ball, but also the Arrive Allive Schoolboys comp for Matraville. Give him a couple of years and we will be hearing alot more about him.

I have played against him in junior footy and schoolboy. he is a very good defender and can turn the game around single handily. he gets caught up in sledging and gives away silly little penalties when he gets riled up. He defiantly has the potential to go all the way.

Heard some rumours he might be a shock starter for this rounds game against the Tigers. From all reports on this thread hope so, so we have a look at his game in the top level.

I really hope not!

Hes just a kid and theres no need to rush him in.

Leave him playin PL, and get ready for a possible call up towards the end of next season

How did he go? Didn't see the game, or hear anything about it.

Eddie didn't dissapoint. Came on when the game was out of reach. Wasn't scared to try things. He tried a chip and chase only for Shane Elford to grab it in the air to score. Had a few half chances and looked dangerous at times. A solid off-season with the top boys and also some more time in Premier League is needed. This kid seems to have the goods.

I think Hewson hit the nail on the head - he wasn't afraid to try things.

He came into the game with it basically gorn but still threw out a few plays and looked busy - for a debutant half/five-eighth - you want them to be involved.

Sure he stuffed up here and there but every player stuffs up.

For Souths sake I hope he has a fantastic off-season and has the goods to challenge Williams and Smith for the halfback job this or next year - as they need a gun at that position and Williams isn't complete enough to be a top half for mine - he's got talent but that only gets you so far.
