We gave Paea his chances, and he didnt rise to the occasion, we gave Sandow a chance, and he took it with open arms and killed teams. (including Manly)

Paea's defence is turnstyle, He has an on-field talking problem, he is too quiet, and during training had a bad attitude.

Sure i wouldnt mind keeping him for depth, but him and his manager seem to think he is worth 150-200k, which we were not willing to pay.

Joe Williams and Jeremy smith got souths into the finals 07, now they are in the scrap heap, yet your basing Souths being stupid for not re-signing Paea, cause he played good against Scotland.. lol

It is the game the managers play to get more money. Last year Joe Williams rejected a decent offer from Souths to hold out for more money. In the end he lost out. Paea would have been a good back up for Sandow, but not for Luke. Paea's defence is nowhere near good enough for Hooker. Besides Souths have both Beau Falloon and even Craig Wing that can play there.

I hear how all these clubs close their books but they always have ways of fitting players in.

secondly, I was hardly having a dig at your club more so that he wasn't signed by any club as part of their top 25 as far as I was aware, yet!!! you still indicated that you wouldn't mind keeping him for depth...

We have heaps of guys fighting for spots next year in the halves but if its true and Paea is coming, the depth and competition is not a bad thing, good back up signing

Roberts may get the sack which is why Paea may be coming??? but we have alot of guys fighting for halves spots next year. Kimmorley, Roberts, Groom, Holdsworth, Barba, Sullivan and maybe Paea

I wouldnt mind keeping him for depth cause we have no real halfbacks if sandow/wing get injured.

in 10 years time mitchel pearce will be sitting naked in a spa channel surfing and will come across where are they now's triumphant return to television and he'll be able to find out where that dude from souths who shared the last name as a couple of rooster boys in 2008 is ... last name paea ... first name forgotten

Eddie Paea has a record of ill discipline as long as anyone in the league. Booted from 2 clubs before joining Souths and it seems being moved on again despite performing well on the field (more off field problems perhaps? )

Whoever picks him up will no doubt run into more of the same. I expect him and Joey Williams to face off on a Mundine under card inside of 24 months.

There is no doubt that Eddie Paea is a great talent. He is very clever with the ball and quick on his feet.

His defence is, in my opinion, the worst I have seen in 1st grade. Joe Williams looks like Cement Gillespie in comparison.
