Interestingly I heard from a member of the Marketing team that we had a different back of jersey partner, that being the much spoken of today Modern Solar in place of Pain Away.

More than likely. Some of the ISC clubs have just submitted the designs using the current list of sponsors and all are subject to change. Pain Away for the Eels and Quantum for Manly are two obvious ones. Souths submitted theirs without sponsors because they're still waiting on confirmation on who the home and away partners are - NAB pulled out late this year.

Manly's main jumper sponsor is Quantum which offer the same product IIRC.

What's with the sponsor being gold on the blue jersey?
Wht's with ISC being so big?
Why don't the striped go all the way around from front to back?

I also disagree with regards to Blue being the home jersey.

Gold = wealth

As a mate of a mate once said in regards to Parramatta - too much blue and not enough gold.

Not sure if I'll buy one now that I have seen them.

There are no stripes on the gold jersey because they are loosely basing it on the 1981 grand final strip.

Probably to keep the sponsor happy, Pirtek branding is blue backdrop and yellow text.

Agree it would look good going right around as the back does look plain but in saying that they probably want to put their own spin on it, trying to update the design.

The only problem I see is the ISC is too big. Other than that they are the best looking jerseys we've had for years.

it's not that much bigger than the old one just more bold so it stands out more.

1. Stripes on the shoulders, like the 81 grand final
2. Agree. White looks much better. Happy I got a heritage from this year
3. As stated, new ISC logo
4. The players issue heritage this year had the stripes that didn't go all the way around. The replicas from the shops did

Well, I guess they handed Pirtek a spot on the board to make them happy. This really isn't that much of a deal in comparison...except that it looks like crap.

If EVER we needed a throw back to the days of 75-86, it's now.
They may not be the most attractive or fashionable of jerseys but
they certainly bring back fond memories of the great battles and success of our glory years.I love the like the link to the past , including the 1978 circular Eel and I hope the current team can draw inspiration from the new "old" jumpers.
