So, anyone have any idea on when our illustrious board is going to meet again in order to select a coach?
All of that is fine. I don't care who the board is, what they think, whether they eat porridge or not, what clothes they wear, what poetry they read, whether they are gay or straight, what T.V. shows they watch, who's their favourite psychopath or whether they believe in reincarnation or not. I'm happy to support any board (whatever that means). I don't care if they love Fitzgerald or hate him; want to pull his guts out through his nose or make love to him in the shower.
BUT if we lose any of our recent recruits because of this board's alleged shenanigans, I'm outta here. I won't support the board or the coach or the players or the club. I'm outta here. Life's too short.
OK, maybe we'll know the outcome later tonight then.i thought Massoud said on twitter they were meeting again today
knowing our luck everyone will bail and we'll be left with pricey n bert
Parramatta are set to appoint a general manager of football before a coach after the board voted against chairman Steve Sharp's insistence that Brad Arthur be given the job.
In a move that has sparked suggestions Sharp's position is untenable, Eels directors voted 3-2 against the recommendation that Arthur be appointed as the club's next coach.
Although the board was not asked to make a choice between Arthur and Jason Taylor, it is believed the directors would vote the same way if the proposal was put to them again.
Fairfax Media was told Taylor was the most impressive candidate in interviews but Sharp is understood to be opposed to the Roosters assistant coach getting the job.
It has even been suggested players and staff were told on Friday that Arthur would be appointed before Taylor had his final interview.
However, the appointment of the next Eels coach requires a majority of the directors' votes and Arthur did not have sufficient support at Tuesday night's lengthy board meeting.
As a result, newly appointed chief executive Scott Seward is understood to be focused on appointing a general manager of football until the stand-off in the board room is resolved, with Cronulla assistant Peter Sharp among those linked to the job.
The rift among directors sparked speculation Arthur may withdraw and remain at Manly as Geoff Toovey's assistant, but Fairfax Media was told both he and Taylor were still interested in the job, despite knowing they did not have the support of the full board.
Meanwhile, Pirtek, which split its long-time association with the Eels when the wooden-spooners demanded more money from the company, has bought the naming rights for Parramatta Stadium.
When former Eels chief executive Ken Edwards demanded early in the season that Pirtek increase its $1 million a year sponsorship to $1.5 million, the firm ended what had been a long-term and, seemingly, successful relationship.

No you have been right all along RJ, as usual, as have I on this board incompetence.
I tip my hat to you and Avenger both. Cheers.
It has been suggested that players and staff were told Arthur had the job last Friday. I wonder what our new recruits were told...
Rams upset.

thanks mate, appreciate it.
You, myself and Avenger are like the axis of evil on this board
I guess just us three can see through the shit and sugar coating, together with telling things how they are, which many object to - they hate hearing the truth:lol:

LOL, you may actually be on to something there, would explain Sharps weird behaviour in this :lol:for all we know Sharp might have signed him up and have him under a contract we'll have to pay out if Taylor gets the gig
Sharp's position has become untenable. He has no clue about the basic rules of governance and and has no political nous.
