Anderson is GM Football, not recruitment manager. He is doing some of Nolan's tasks but not all of them. Craig Wilson will be taking on the rest of those responsibilities (but not all of them).

There is no new Nolan. The job has been removed, with the responsibilities split up.

It clearly says recruitment, retention and grassroots development are his domain, all of which were previously Nolan's. Either it's true or Prozenko is just making it up but it's pretty clear what the article says.

I have been a General Manager of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service before.
But I dont remember writing all the ads, closing every sale and answering every customer phone call. I did have responsibility for them though. Probably the same as how Nolan reported to Anderson as will his successor.

Might be worth understanding organisational structures before commenting sometimes.

Mark Hughes has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Peter Nolan as the recruitment chief at Parramatta. Nolan is heading back to Brisbane and the Eels are on the lookout for a new talent spotter.

Hughes' last gig was at South Sydney where he unearthed the likes of Issac Luke, Ben Te'o, Chris McQueen, Beau Champion, Shaune Corrigan, Andrew Everingham, Dylan Farrell, Bryson Goodwin, Jeff Lima and David Tyrrell.

Sorry mate, I was busy. Anyway here goes:

The blokes running the club now deserve full responsibility for the positive attitude in the club, even if they're not responsible for the talent in the playing group. Arthur's has them playing good footy, and even the merkins in reserve grade seem happy.

Have a look at the photos from training sessions. Nothing but smiles (except Peatsy because he's a staunch merkin).

I don't see what's wrong with saying we're firing on all cylinders. It means we're already at our peak (of about six cylinders). JWH has only managed to run for 100 metres twice this year, and both times were against us.

If they sacked him without an immediate replacement then it probably was restructuring. I'd say Maguire (or someone appointed by him) were to take on key responsibilities held by Hughes, making his position redundant.

Spoke to DA during the preseason, he works hand in hand with BA, in matters relating to recruitment and retention.
