For the first time, I thought I'd have a bit of a look at a couple of the other team's forums - Manly and Wests-Tigers.
I have to say that the Eels forum is far more active. For someone who lives interstate, I rely on this forum for almost all my nrl and eels info/discussions, and I am extremely thankful that we have such a diverse, yet involved fan base.
Thanks so much to the moderators: eelaholic , The Colonel , Stagger eel , Twizzle and JessEel for laying such a good and informative foundation!
The fact that I can come online and get 'to the minute' commentry of the Eels' games (allbeit sometimes pretty negative, i.e. first 50 mins against Manly) is something the other clubs (from what I've seen) are lacking. Also if there's an interesting article online or in the papers, I can read it here. The others don't seem to do that either.
In the Manly forum, a good discussion thread might be one with 14 posts, yet ours can get into the hundreds.
Like I said, I only looked at two others, I don't have the time to scour every other team's forums. But it doesn't change the fact that we have some very insightful and interesting people putting in their 'two bob'!
Keep up the good work people and lets hope we can help maintain the momentum needed to take it all the way.
