Mate Grant looked lost at sea last week against the Jets at Henson Park but was really trying. Not so sure he will make it but he will least give it a go.
On the other hand Moors looked a class above most of the other forwards on display.Like others I just think Moors offers a few qualities we need in the top grade

More wing discussion . . . . .

Without sounding shallow or unappreciative, how long do we wait for Lote to play like he used to. If this is the best he can dish up, when do we say " sorry, you have been a legend, but the kids have earnt their chance. It's time to step aside. "

There has been a lot of talk about Koroibete. I'd also love to see what Grant can do. The potential both these guys have is supposedly massive. Why not give each of them a crack at half a game soon ?
What's the worst they can do ? . . . run crab-like across field and get smashed? . . . drop bombs cold ? . . . . stand 15m too far infield ? . . . .not call for an incoming high ball and watch our season disappear ? . . . . drop the effin ball cold ?

Coz at the end of the day, that's what we are getting, with very little potential for improvement.

I think Tuqiri deserves a few more weeks to find his fitness. He was out for a long time and at his age it will take longer than most to get his match fitness up.

Grant is not ready for FG this season. Koroibete will replace Lote next season.

When Lote was "playing like he used to" he was playing outside a red hot Lawrenece, who in turn was outside a halfback who at least had a clue.

A winger can only perform with what he's been given and right now he's being given jack.

As to strength and fitness, he looks just fine (in fact, imagine just how much worse little Timmy would look without Tiquiri back there to take his hit ups and cover his gutless ass?).

Replacing Lote at this juncture is madness.

BS.

Ryan is playing outside a woefull Ayshford and now Reddy. If Lote showed as much balls and hunger he would not be the topic of discussion.

I also disagree about his fitness, he is far from fit. Not his fault though he got rushed back into the team.

Hard to disagree with any of that. He looks very short of a run at the moment.

Lote is past his use by date..... Shows no desire at all. He is out and out lazy and should have been playing reserve grade last year..... Only thing he does well is take the high ball.
As for Grant - Ive seen him in open space a few times only to be chased down over 15 - 20m.

He has been completely non-existent. Moltzen was basically the same but from what we have seen he has a greater chance to come good.

The thing is they are both fighting for both positions and neither of them have put in a really solid performance or two.
Non-existant?

He's settled Benji down and directed the forwards far better than Moltzen ever did.

I'm not saying he's f**king brilliant, but he's doing just enough of the right things to make life easier for Benji.

He took over team direction and on field leadership when Farah went off early against Penrith.

Robson isn't f**king brilliant as a halfback either, but he does exactly whats required to make the stars around him perform better.

Thats what Humble provides.

I've said for years, we don't need a world class 7, we just need someone with a decent kicking game who can take some pressure off Benji and Farah.

Humble is close to achieving that. I hope he stays in 7 and gets a chance to grow into the role.

Moltzen is a bull running 6, always has been, always will be.

I call bullshit on this. I am sure you believe it but it is completely unverifiable.

Moltzen is a bull running 6, always has been, always will be.

I think that this is Moltzen's best position. He has though killed it at 7 with Benji at 6 in the past. The problem is that this has not been given enough of a chance this season.

I have no problems with Humble. I'd like to see him slot in there and I think leaving Moltzen at 1 and Humble at 7 might work. I just think that Sheens should have replaced Tedesco with a fullback (even if that was Humble) and left Moltzen where he was.

Still it might work and I'd like to see it given more of a chance. My initial point still stands though and that is that Humble so far has been non-existent. If Moltzen had played as Humble has so far the knives would be out.

Moltzen killed it at 7 when Farah was effectively playing hooker and halfback.

Moltzens highlight reel consists of running 5/8 plays

Very harsh on Lote. The bloke barely played last year, had another long term injury over the summer, and is working his way back to match fitness. He's noticeably improved every week, and will be a real asset if he can stay fit.

Agree - he prob played his best game in over a year last week but that’s exactly my point.
It’s the first game in a year where he has looked remotely interested in being out there.
Bring on the young Fijian and see what he can do in 1st grade.
Lotes defensive positional play is inexcusable for someone that has played league before. He looks completely lost and does not have the pace off the mark to make up for it either.
Good under the high ball but that is it………
Also, im sure the Fijian would be finishing off those same tries if running outside an on fire Benji and a red hot Lawrence…….
Benji would draw players then Lawrence’s ball running would draw 2 easy leaving Lote in the open. All 1st grade wingers should finish off running outside of those two...

That's a little harsh.

The only time Lote sees the ball is when he's running it out of our own half. He sees no quality ball from Lawrence or Benji. Doesn't help when Benji's passes aren't finding him either.

Lawrence rarely passes the ball,he looks so rigid when carrying the ball that achieving a decent pass to his
winger nearly is beyond him!

yeah, Benji has been favouring Ryan's wing all year this year. Can't blame him either given the poor form of Lawrence.

Tuqiri needs to inject himself much much more.
