The question the staff asks about players currently is apparently, will they help the club win a GF
This is the catalyst for decisions being made to take the club forward, ask yourself the same question about the 2 players mentioned and their impact on the salary cap and will the club recruit or retain better players.
Kelepi is a tweener, a power runner that dominates in age footy, hasn't done the same in seniors and in a game where forwards are over 6'0" at a minimum, he appears a little short so to speak
Agreed Jake, i think letting him go is a mistake i hope i am proven wrong.I think Fui has proven that you don't have to be overly tall to have a power game. Look at Allgood for example, he is the biggest waste of space this side of the Tasman. Big for nothing. Players like Kelepi and Fui (in his prime) are hard to handle. They tend to be quick over the 10m and are a ball of muscle. Releasing Kelepi is a massive mistake IMO
i'm stuck at work this evening so i won't be able to get out to parra for the 20s. Sorry, merkins!
What about Terepo? Do you rate Terepo or tanginoa higher?
I agree that you would need to be carefull with under 20 players.Guys like Vai Toutai and Lassalo can look god soley based on the fact they are more powerfull at that age due to there body developing earlier. I get drilled when I mention Penrith but the guys they have like Moss-Carwtright-Jennings-Yow yeh-DCW have more skill than power games and are rarer to find.Kind of why I don't get excited about young Falou at the moment.
Like at the start of the year?
Morris starting with Fuimaono on the bench. Tagilima is the new centre.
re: Morris, it's a fairly rapid rise for a bloke who barely played SG Ball.
