WE just repelled the Warriors with some great goal line defence before our counter attack ended just past halfway.

Tepu-Smith with a super run and offload that finds a flying Davis in support. Davis is ankle tapped but somewhow offloads to Mauala who earns a penalty.

From the resumption of play we Mauala comes back again to score a barge over try next to the sticks.

Parra lead NZ 16-0

Mauala takes the first hit up from the kickoff before Parra work it to the left.

Solid work through the run gets us to halfway before Lussick hoists it high. The chase doesn't compete for the ball and the Warriors take is safely.

The Wariiors bomb it on their final tackle and Davis goes up to take it but loses it. Ref rules double knock on and the Warriors will have a scrum on our 10m line.

Great desperation on the goal line again from our 20's as they put immense pressure on the Warriors halfback and force another error.

Brendon Raeli is one as Parra complete a solid set.

Lussick concedes a ruck penlaty in the first tackle and the Warriors hoof a massive touch finder to take the tap 20m from our goal line.

The Warriors are finally able to crack our defence.

After coming down our right edge they turn the ball back towards the sticks on the next play and their runner is able to find space between two defenders and plant the ball over the line.

Defenders made alight contact but both went low and left the ball free to be planted.

Conversion is good.

NZ trail Parra 6-16

Poups you are a god damn merkin.

Warriors makes a massive break from an offlaod that looked to be severely forward.

Davis chases down the runner with ease before the Warriors squander the next play with a forward pass.

Parra attack down their left edge before centering the attack which earns another penalty.

Kick finds touch 30m from the Warriors' goal line.

Each of our play makers (Lussick, ZDC and Matterson) take turns running the ball as they look to link up with their outside backs but are swamped by the NZ defence.

Parra complete the set without threatening the Warriors but NZ turn the ball over immediately to give us a second chance.

We don't waste the opportunity as we attack down our right with Davis who overpowers at least three defenders and slams the ball down to score.

Davis converts his own try.

Goodall brings the ball out from this kickoff with a good run.

A couple of plays later Parra come down their right again as Clay hits Folau with a good pass. Folau squirts an offload away to Lavaka who is wrapped up.

Parra bomb on the last but it is taken exceptionally well by the NZ #5.


NZ play out a strong reply set, culminating in yet another bomb. Parra take it nicely but lose the ball in the following play-the-ball.

NZ scrum 10m from our line.

Good goal line defence thus far but Parra are pinged for not making it back to the goal line to give the Warriors six again.

Parra somehow come away with the ball from the first hit up but the refs brings play back for another NZ penalty.

Some great scrambling defence down our right ledge by Lussick and another as they pin down the NZ winger.

NZ then go from sideline to sideline and look to have scored but a last ditch attempt by Goodall has raised the touchy's flag.

Parra pick up a penalty early in the next set.
