He hasn't had an off season and they want him to play 80 minutes after struggling the first few weeks, seems like a good move..

Tries to Goodall and TTS

Parra lead 16-0 16 minutes gone

I would have started him in under 20s from round 1... Not as fast smaller guys ect...

Welp short lived dreams for today...back to live updates folks.

Penrith pick up a much needed penalty to get into Parra's half.

And Penrith are able to capitalise on the repeat possession as they score down our left edge via their #2.

Camera break down? didnt buy it from Koogan?

Request from stadium administration, just another hurdle to cover in the coming week.

Back to the game and the conversion is waved away but Parra then concede a ruck penalty from the following kickoff set giving Penrith free passage to their 30m line.

Another penalty against Parra sees Penrith on the attack 30m out from our line.

Parra defend their line with vigour but Penrith earn a line drop out with a well placed grubber that Makelim dutifully bats dead.

Be careful they don't see you posting

Another set of solid defence as Parra did well to cover some second phase play before Scarlett drops the ball for the Panthers.

Parra work the ball out of their half down the left edge before making some great metres up the middle.

Matterson pokes his head through a hole and as he goes down in contact he flicks the ball to Tanginoa cutting back on the inside. Kelepi can't grab it on the first attempt and it ricochets to a Penrith player.

The Panthers fight their way to our red zone and manage to get to their kick but it is too deep on this occasion and Goodall shepherds it over the dead ball line.

Matterson runs the ball at the posts and once again pokes his head through half a gap, he offloads to Moeroa who takes a lovely catch around his ankles but as Moeroa ttries to link up to Clay on his right he loses the ball in the tackle causing a turnover 10m out from the Penrith goal line.

This time is it John Folau with the great boot lace pick up as Clay fire a slightly misdirected cut out ball to the right.

Parra find the in goals on the last but the Penrith fullback is able to get out safely.

Another penalty to Penrith now, this one I believe for a flop, which will take play to 20m inside Parra's half.

As like the other week forty, I'm also watching the game but will comment afterwards.
You do a tip top job on your live updates, that there really isn't much more to add

Folau looks for an intercept as Penrith attack our right edge but he can't get to the ball in time. This gives the Penrith #3 plenty of space but there was adequate cover defence coming across. The attempts at tackling are poor though and Penrith score near the sticks.

The conversion is fortuitously missed.

Penrith trail Parra 8-16

33min gone.

More luck for Parra as Penrith make a mistake on the kickoff reception to give the Eels a line drop out.

Gee that looked like a bad call, although I wasn't in line with the play.

That seemed like a lovely cut out ball to Davis, who was in turn running a fantastic line. Davis was ankle tapped on the way through but the point is moot as the ref calls the play back for a forward pass.

Penrith head centre field from the scrum but the ref blows time off after one play as Pritchard needs aid.

So how are we able to digitally watch the under 20s?

I was advised (politely by a decent staff member it must be said) that Fox was covering the game.

Fabian Goodall easily defuses a bomb in goals before making a good 12-15m from the restart of play.

Sweeping move to the right from Parra as Lussick passes to Pritchard at first receiver who hits Clay who then finds a flying Makelim.

The fullback shovels the ball to Folau who has his opposite number jamming in on him and he tries to catch and pass to Lavaka in one motion but finds the touchline instead of his winger.
