It's astounding that Junior got 9 weeks when Klemmaer and Taia (I don't think was even charged?) both got off from pretty dubious tackles on the weekend.

Junior deserved time for sure (before someone comes in and sets me straight).

when did you come out?

He would only have copped 5 weeks, but for the carry-over for previous similar offences.

Junior deserved time but got stung with a grade 4. With no down grade, that grub Klemmer has a terrible record but no probs down grade for him and he misses just a week.......

Seems legit.......

I thought Taia's was pretty bad - good old fashion spear tackle ... very surprised he got off (or virtually nothing or whatever)

I didn't think Klemmer's was that bad ... it was basically a shoulder charge at the back of the guy's thighs - which isn't worse than alot of other legit tackles tbh

Didn't he dive at the front of the legs? Back of the thighs would imply hamstrings, but I could have sworn he was attacking from the front.

Like i said, a shoulder charge in the back of his legs ... he got 1 week

Im not saying it was ok, but there are worse

I thought shoulder charges were being stamped out and there were tougher penalties? 1 week seems like it will stamp it out.

He gets a downgrade while Juniors was a grade 4 and 9 weeks.

If anyone can see the fairness in that they can suck on a fat hairy one.

Mate why do you think we wore a predominantly white jersey on the weekend? It was in the hopes that it will fool the judiciary in the future.

How do you compare a shoulder charge to a spear tackle (by a bloke with quite a history of doing them)? And as you know......Jnr was 5 weeks for the offence and the rest because of his record. The problem for Jnr was that the tackle was over, and he was the only defender involved so there was no 'contributory recklessness' by anyone else. The worst call was the one involving a couple of Knights players on Thurston at about the same time as Jnr....that did deserve more (but not quite as much as Jnr).

No way was Juniors tackle worthy of a grade 4. We went in for a downgrade and never got one. Klemmers record for is equally as poor yet he seemed to have no problems with getting a downgrade. We never argued his was guilty just the severity of the charge.

I humbly disagree. When you pick up a stationary player (or even a stationery one) and drop him on his head you create a risk of awful consequences out of absolutely nothing. It's true that it all happened really quickly, but I don't want to see tackles like that. It's not like it was part of a 'normal' tackle that went wrong.
