Probably working on the process and writing it all down
Like a professional?
The likely possibilities are:
  1. he’s making work for himself - that won’t last forever. Either he’ll finish the procedure manual or he’ll be found out doing non-work
  2. we didn’t have the procedures set up in first place and he’s had to write them from ground up - given it’s a new role that seems plausible
Having stuck strong with BA, it’d be counterproductive chucking the ancillary back office out after less than a year. It’s not a role that’ll be easy to judge in short term anyway

Parramatta centre Michael Jennings still doesn’t officially have a contract, but is reportedly on the verge of signing a reduced extension with the Eels for 2020, with an option for 2021.

Jennings’ teammate Josh Hoffman is also a possibility of re-signing with the Eels, but would be a good late pick-up for clubs needing outside backs.

Eels hooker Matt McIlwrick has decided to call it a day after 56 NRL games stretching back to 2012.

Good to see Hoffman may still be an option. He is pretty much the ideal back-up for the outside backs, having plenty of NRL experience and able to cover wing, fullback and centre.

Agreed. Smith Taka, Gower and Hoff are solid backups - provide that their presence in the squad does not stifle development of the young-ins. There needs to be a balance between easing kids into NRL and opting for experience.

Can McIlwrick really be described as an "Eels hooker"?? Wenty hooker sure, but he didn't play a top grade game for us did he??
