Emu doesn't look too bad. @hindy111 was commenting last week that Emu had put on weight and regressed. I don't think he's gone backwards at all....
@hindy111 has been on the mushies.

Oh look a new assistant coach. <Insert sarcasm something something bald joke>

If Ray Stone works on this aspect of his game he will be better than Mahoney. Hits harder in defence and is quick for a forward. I rate him so highly that I’d play him at lock if Mahoney stayed.

Massive call there Avenger. Besides tackling there is a lot of skill and nuance involved in a great dummy halves roll. I have yet to see a great passing game from him or even a decent running game. His is no doubt a real trier and gives 100% when on the field, so he has that going for him. The pin point and fast delivery passing is the hardest part for him to perfect under game fatigue. That will not come easy and may never come at all otherwise great 9's would be a dime a dozen.

Not saying that it is out of the question, but to turn him into a real quality passer like Mahoney or assume that he can run like a rabbit at the ruck with what he has shown thus far from a skills perspective is in my opinion a very ambitious call.

Lets just hope he can master the fundamentals as a decent backup dummy half if called upon again in 2023.

Firstly, local forward Toni Mataele has returned to the Eels. The young forward had shifted to the Knights for the 2021 season and reached NSW Cup level.

He must show promise at training. Our think tank now consists of BA, Murphy, Kidwell, Carr, Woolford, McGregor and Ennis.
