Well obviously we don't have 17 players on top 17 money, like most clubs I'd say. With an extra team this year there just aren't enough genuine top 17 players to go around.
Too reliant on up the middle stuff Eh Billy? Wow! Who would have thought.
Yeah cheers Billy. Have you noticed defence is our problem, not how our halfback plays?
Chase the collision is a way to remind low effort forwards to get numbers into the tackle.Sounds a lot like a coaching issue to me. He’s a merkin, but I’d take Slater as our head coach any day. Preferably tomorrow.
Would this advice contradict our chase the collision at all costs mantra?

OccasionallyDo we ever get 3 in a tackle?
Sometimes 4.Occasionally
Exactly. And his advice should be for our starting hooker to defend like our bench hooker....Yeah cheers Billy. Have you noticed defence is our problem, not how our halfback plays?

It's what I've been saying all along. He's gotta learn to play like cronk, Thurston, sterlo and just get his hands on the ball as much as possible
I also think it also refers to our power game. That’s not a bad thing but that seems to be plan a, b and c. I’d much rather Moses gets his hands on the ball more and run…Moses…run. Similarly with Dylbro.Chase the collision is a way to remind low effort forwards to get numbers into the tackle.
I thought you'd been arguing our defence is fine... and it's our turnovers in attack that are the problem in causing us to attempt and miss more tackles?Yeah cheers Billy. Have you noticed defence is our problem, not how our halfback plays?

No I've been saying for ages our team has too many ordinary defenders, which is why we need to play boring and complete our sets. If we do that the higher than average number of strong attackers will see us score points (which we have no problem doing).I thought you'd been arguing our defence is fine... and it's our turnovers in attack that are the problem in causing us to attempt and miss more tackles?
Make your mind up son!
And they're wrong. I pointed out our weak defence (especially in the middle) years ago, and as recently as last year. Hodgson hasn't fixed it but why would he? I actually put our defensive woes over the years down to Paulo's long minutes. We need to surround him with toilers, and two hard working hookers is a good start. I like Hopgood's effort as well. It’s been repeated here by a certain few that the weak defence is because of Hodgson.
