It's a good listen but small comfort...seems everyone is filthy about missing the 8 but we were asleep at the wheel. To say bringing new players, combos etc is really poor. Every team will go through the season needing to bring in players because of injuries, suspensions and loss of form.
I really hope, pray and wish missing the 8 is the biggest motivation ever. Plus no world cup. (I know there are some international games but not like last yr) Hopefully when the season starts next yr we can play our best 17 from round 1 whatever that may look like

Just because every team has unavailable players doesn't mean they all have the same number of unavailable players. We had significantly fewer players unavailable last year and the result was we won more games.

I think that he is saying our spine has been fairly settled for a while now (which is a good thing) so the new players in different positions are less of an excuse.
