yeah, cuz Rugby League is a huge thing in Victoria

their biggest resource is the NRL
It's a geographical resource because once staff/players are established there, it is an advantage to keeping them. That's not the case for Sydney clubs. Even the Broncos no longer have the same advantage when retaining Brisbane-based players. And this isn't even accounting for local sponsorship opportunities.

Rubbish, it is a horrible place and I would imagine most people from further North would just want to get out of there.

The weather is f**king terrible and it's a shithole.

It's at a geographical disadvantage IMO, not to mention the fact that local resources are put into AFL and you have zero access to any local talent because kids have AFL forced down their throats from the time they start primary school.

Like Sydney, Melbourne is fine if you're wealthy. Bellamy has said he doesn't want to leave. Queenslander Billy Slater is still down there. Once your family is settled somewhere, the location is a massive anchor. When an NRL club is the only one in town it's an advantage, a geographical resource.

The Roosters, like the Storm, have proven that 'local talent' is completely unnecessary to NRL success.
