What if we f**k him off after the Train and Trial? Some merkin suggested the second year was in the top 30, which makes the most sense. To a f**ken idiot like me anyway

Well he has a contract so we would have to negotiate a payout. What if we f**k him off after the Train and Trial?
Source? You yourself just recently said you weren't sure what is going on about his contract, whether Samrani is in the 30 in 2026 - or anything really.but in Samrani’s case the second year’s payout would count against the cap.
I’m sure the club announced his signing in the same announcement as a couple of other top 30 players. Not a word about train and trial, so I’m going off the official information. However the player doesn’t have an official profile on the club’s site, so nothing is certain.Source? The NRL salary cap rules aren’t as tight as you’d expect. The base is clubs have to have 30 registered NRL players and can’t spend more than $X overall for them to be in their NRL squad. There’s further rules around minimum wage and other things.how else would it be allocated ?
It's the same as my source for every other top 30 player. Official announcements:So no source for your guess work re top 30 or not. All good.
That’s a fairly strong submissions that their parents loved Nickelodeon!
You do realise that there are more than 30 players signed with the club in any one season, don't you? It's the same as my source for every other top 30 player. Official announcements:
Eels announce three signings
The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce the signing of Joash Papalii and Jordan Samrani, as well as the extension of Matt Doorey.www.parraeels.com.au
The people who update the NRL website aren't the salary cap auditors, or the arbiters of who is the top 30 either. They are just as big guessers as you or I are, joining dots from media releases. He is also listed here with the rest of the top 30 players:
2024 NRL Signings Tracker: Xerri extends with Bulldogs
Bronson Xerri has committed to the Bulldogs until the end of 2027 while Ben Hunt is headed back to the Brisbane Broncos.www.nrl.com
Weird that you've made a quantum leap that Samrani must be top 30, attributing these sources more weight than they have actually stated in that regard? And weird that you react so... lengthily... whenever you sniff any criticism, rather than just admitting and agreeing the obvious uncertainty and shrugging it off.Weird that you're demanding sources from merkins with a different opinion and invalidating the sources they provide.
Would be down right stupid if the NRL media and communications team didn’t do internal checks with their colleagues before posting shit on the NRL website. The people who update the NRL website aren't the salary cap auditors, or the arbiters of who is the top 30 either. They are just as big guessers as you or I are, joining dots from media releases.
How often do they announce the recruitment or retention of more than thirty players in a given year? The focus has always been on the top 30. Granted, this year they have announced a handful of SG Ball players, specifically the ones who got picked in the Australian Schoolboys, but it was the first time they've ever done this. You do realise that there are more than 30 players signed with the club in any one season, don't you?
A quick check of the maths - 17 playing first grade, plus 17 playing in NSW Cup - would tell you that.
The fact he is announced points to him being in the top 30. He might not be, but the existing evidence says it's most likely. If he is on a train-and-trial contract, where were the announcements for all the other train-and-trial players? What's so special about Samrani?Nothing in your link indicates Samrani is top 30 next season or the season after.
Yes that's right, media releases. They are the only reliable evidence we have, absent access to the contract details. Clubs don't announce the signings of every player at the club. Therefore the ones who are announced must be assumed to have something in common with the others who are announced, and are logically separate from all the ones who aren't.The people who update the NRL website aren't the salary cap auditors, or the arbiters of who is the top 30 either. They are just as big guessers as you or I are, joining dots from media releases.
On the contrary, I welcome any opportunity to clarify my position. I am here to explain why you are wrong. And that includes demonstrating why.Weird that you've made a quantum leap that Samrani must be top 30, attributing these sources more weight than they have actually stated in that regard? And weird that you react so... lengthily... whenever you sniff any criticism, rather than just admitting and agreeing the obvious uncertainty and shrugging it off.
I agree and I love it!! Moses has to be a sole captain next year. Junior can be in the leadership group with the rest of them. This should be Moses’ team and that’s it.I saw that too. I am guessing (c) next to his name is on the cards and he wanted to show leadership.
