I agree and I love it!! Moses has to be a sole captain next year. Junior can be in the leadership group with the rest of them. This should be Moses’ team and that’s it.

Agree he should be the captain. Seems to put the team first could have missed the major semi for the birth of his child.

Talk has started that Moses and Ponga are on the Roosters radar..

I assume that's because we are trying to negotiate his contract again.

How often do they announce the recruitment or retention of more than thirty players in a given year? The focus has always been on the top 30. Granted, this year they have announced a handful of SG Ball players, specifically the ones who got picked in the Australian Schoolboys, but it was the first time they've ever done this.

The fact he is announced points to him being in the top 30. He might not be, but the existing evidence says it's most likely. If he is on a train-and-trial contract, where were the announcements for all the other train-and-trial players? What's so special about Samrani?

Yes that's right, media releases. They are the only reliable evidence we have, absent access to the contract details. Clubs don't announce the signings of every player at the club. Therefore the ones who are announced must be assumed to have something in common with the others who are announced, and are logically separate from all the ones who aren't.

On the contrary, I welcome any opportunity to clarify my position. I am here to explain why you are wrong. And that includes demonstrating why.
Lol.
TLDR.
QED.

From the perspective of the team, do you merkins reckon the leadership group is subordinate to the captain? Is he the 'boss' of them or just the referee/media facing member of the leadership group? I could never tell if Gutherson or Paulo had any authority over Moses, for example, or anyone else really.

the captain is the captain, the playmaker calls the plays

there is a difference

You’ve described the captain by what he is, and the playmaker by what he does. You can’t compare this way. You need to describe what the captain does to show the difference. What do you think the captain does, that the coach or the other members of the leadership group don’t do?

I think you're getting me mixed up with someone else that you've attempted to troll in here in recent days?

Guess that's bound to happen when you spread your trolling too thin...

Paulo form's gone down hill since he has been given the co-captaincy.

Plus it's a new era, regime and the leadership group needs to be refreshed as well.
This. Time for a a refresh, not to hang onto aspects of our 2023-24 decline, just for the sake of it.

Paulo might be a good leader off-field etc, but he doesn't seem to be one on field anymore. Senior player and good to have in a leadership group, but am not sure can be justified as an off-field co-captain any longer.

The only worry with Moses is his occasional outbursts about referee decisions etc, but he's getting older and more mature - and Gutho had his share of them anyway. If we need to co-captain him, then Lomax might be a good pick imo.
