Don't get me wrong, I loved both Araldite and Timmy, I just think that if they feature in our top 9 forwards in the last 30 years, then FMD we've been struggling.

I can understand that point of view, and I agree to an extent - I'd argue that Glenn Morrison was a better all around player than Wags (no disrespect to Wags).

It's sad when you think we had 3 genuine world class centres since 2000.

And all 3 stints here ended on a sour note.

Lyon walked out in 2004
Tahu basically gave up at the end of 2010 and left.
Jennings got a drug suspension.

If you want to include Hayne in that lot basically being charged and ended up in jail.

4 world class elite players we had and all of them ended here in bad terms.

Maybe we are cursed.

I hope Lomax, and Penisini, don't follow suit.

Would have to include Dean Widders as a benchie, always came on the field and made a difference, it was an exciting period at that time. He and David Solomona offering so much off the bench.
I remember that 2005 game against the Dragons the one where Barrett king-hit PJ.

Dragons were up 12-0 early & Brian Smith brought widders on before halftime and he completely changed the game i think he got 2 tries.

After that the game was over Barrett had a brain snap early in the 2nd half and McKinnon scored while every 25 players were worried about the biff. And we ran riot in the 2nd half.

But Widders spark before halftime was the player that got us going.

Even throw Tonga in. He went alright. Pity he left for the Dogs before Lyon left and David V did his Achilles iirc.

Assuming all playing at their Parra peak, of course.

Gutherson
Burt
Vaealiki
Lyon
Tahu
Brown D
Moses
Pay
Marsh
Cayless
Hindmarsh
McCracken
Dymock

Smith J
Moimoi
Vella
Solomona
Hayne

So many decent players from the past 26 years that had to be left out.
