Parra-dise in Vegas
There have been whispers Parramatta are in the running to join the likes of the Dragons and the Bulldogs in Las Vegas for next year’s season openers. Eels players are being told of plans for their club to go.

SINNER
Phil Gould should stick to his day job at Canterbury, where there is no denying he’s done a nice job to rebuild the club. We can’t say the same about his work at Channel 9. Gus’s views on league are outdated. His defence of Reed Mahoney’s shocking cheap shot on Daniel Atkinson last week, with comments like “there wasn’t much in it at all” and “he’s one of the most courageous players I’ve ever seen”, is, in my view, complete rubbish. There is nothing courageous about attacking the head of a defenceless player on the ground.
It’s not Gus’ go.
But seriously thank f**k someone has finally come out in the media and said something. They need to do it more. I wouldn’t call his views outdated. They’re self-serving.

Very good article.

Michael Ennis makes some very good points actaully.

"Ennis believes Ryles, like Ciraldo did before him, is using this first season to assess which of his warriors he wants to go into battle with every week and which are surplus to requirements.

“He’s had six months now to get to know individuals, and he’s learning every week about individuals and whether they’re capable of being able to execute the style of footy that he wants and the changes that he’s trying to bring in,” Ennis said.

“So whilst it’s very much a learning year for Parramatta and with the change of direction that Jason’s taken them in, he’s also learning every week about individuals and whether they’re capable of going down the path that he’s trying to take them."

He misses being there to watch his kids play, no matter what grade they are in.
Nothing wrong with that.
Well no one forced him to the North of England, he got a juicy pay out from us this season. He could be doing just that but he chose another pay cheque. That decision was on him from what I hear he’s hardly needs to cash.

Can’t hold off working forever. Too young to retire just yet and he got a job offer.

You go where the work is. I don’t care if he can coach or not (as he is no longer our coach) but I do feel sorry for him that he is living so far away from his kids. Luckily for him it doesn’t have to be permanent.

He could have landed a job anywhere in Aus, as I said no one forced to the North of England. Seems like another big fat pay cheque was more important than watching his kids. Sure take the job it’s your right and your life but it’s a bit hypocritical to be whinging how tough it is for him. Poor Brad it must be so tough after fleecing our club for millions and millions. If he didn’t take that job he might be down to his last 5 million.

There's nothing wrong with being sad that you're not near your kids.
I understand you don't like the guy, but he is human and has human feelings. You can't say that he's not allowed to miss his family simply because he took a job overseas.

My brother took a job overseas and he misses his family here often. Is he not supposed to have those feelings?

One way to solve this mess is Leeds/Brad should just sign up Jake & Boods to contracts & get them out of reserve grade here in Australia into the Super League.

They are professional rugby league players i am sure they would make the starting 17 over there for the Leeds Rhinos.

And the Leeds fans will appreciate the sacrifice the boys make to keep a modern day super coach Brad Arthur in charge of a famous club in the North of England.

Then he'll miss his wife

“I don’t expect you to comment on the dealings of other clubs” because you’re not f**ken Phil Gould
Meanwhile Gus is on 100% Monday night saying that the chooks mustn't sign DCE as it will only stifle Walker's progress.

Guest Victor Radley says "what are you planning on signing him?" .....
