The basic issue which probably proves how good Hayne was compared to Inglis is to simply look at their team mates. Hayne played with a team substantially inferior to Inglis and managed to drag them to a GF. Inglis rode on the coat tails of a team assembled somewhat dubiously.

Individually Hayne lapped Inglis for speed, passing, kicking etc, only leaping for a high ball was he possibly worse. Hayne dominated a couple of SOO too.
I wouldn’t say Inglis rode on coat tails, he was still deserving of accolades, but to claim a) he’ll be better remembered (laughable by itself - even more so in the forum it was said in) and b) it’s because of his greater accomplishments is just demonstrably wrong.

I think Inglis will be remembered for making a bigger impact on the game than Hayne.

2004 Australian Schoolboys - Nope, Hayne didnt get this honor
2005 Rookie of the year runner up vs 2006 Rookie of the Year (Winner)
2007 Premiers (Storm) and Clive Churchill Medallist - Nope Hayne didnt get this honor
2008 Dally M five eighth of the year, Rep Player of the year vs 2007 Dally M Winger of the Year
2008 World Cup 6 tries in 4 games vs 2013 Rugby League World Cup Top Tryscorer
2009 Premiers (Storm) and Four Nations Player of the Series vs Storm cheating doesnt count and 2009 RLIF International Player of the Year
2009 Golden Boot and Dally M Rep player of the year vs 2009 Dally M Player of the Year
2013 Dally M fullback of the year vs 2014 Dally M Fullback of the Year
2014 Premiers (Rabbits) - Nope, Hayne isnt a premiership winner
2018 Queensland Captain - Who cares
2024 NRL Hall of Fame vs NRL team of the decade member 2010–2019.

I didn't like Inglis at the time, mainly because he played for opposition clubs. But now they're both out of the game and you take the club glasses off, Inglis's achievements are hard to beat.
So Inglis won 2 premierships more than Hayne, got picked in Aust. Schoolboys and captained Qld.

Here are a couple of Haynes achievements not covered above:
2013: Rugby League World Cup Player's Player
2014: Dally M Representative Player of the Year
2014: Dally M Top Tryscorer (20)
2014: New South Wales Player of the Year

I believe you mean he won 1 more premiership than Hayne. Those little battlers from Melbun didn’t win any while Inglis was there

It's not even the amount of awards each player won.
Basically, Hayne had a far more intensive skill set than Inglis.
It's no contest.

I can't see any Golden Boots in that Hayne list... just saying.

Seriously not trying to troll... just answering a question with an opinion, and responding to everyone's subsequent comments to me/about that Inglis opinion.

But if we weren't Parra fans invested in Hayne's obvious talent (particularly as part of that run in the second half of 2009 that came so close to a premiership), and instead were neutral rugby league observers (fans of other teams, or say from overseas) - then to me it's not too fart fetched that such people will reflect on Inglis' impact on the game, and also rate his achievements slightly higher than Hayne.

I am more critical of Hayne than most Parra fans (apart from weirdos like you and Hollywood).

Terrible leader. Inconsistent. Dumb as a post.

But you can’t deny his talent. Running game, defence, passing and kicking game was elite and he was consistently our best without trying.

You can’t hide your biases with Hayne, Pou, Suity and the Libs and your opinion is rubbished accordingly.

I haven't tried to deny Hayne's talent. It's a straight comparison in answer to someone's question as to whether Inglis or Hayne will be remembered as having the most impact on the game (of rugby league).

I'm more that happy for other people's answer to be Hayne. My answer/opinion is Inglis, and I'm sorry it's caused anyone distress...

Everyone's biased about things they have an opinion about Gary. But I certainly don't try and hide my biases.

I agree with your on field criticisms of Hayne, and we don't need to go into his off-field antics. I'm on record for my opinion Pou is the biggest troll on here and makes the forum unpalatable (and I'm not alone in having voiced that). I'm not sure what you think my bias about Suity is... it seems more the other way around? Though I do still think the Libs (in my lifetime, NSW and Federal) are simply a morally devoid party. So rubbish away...

Yep. Everyone is ‘distressed’ by your take on Inglis and Hayne. No-one is laughing at you.
