The turbos I believe will never leave Moanly. They may be upset Des is gone but few clubs if any would have the cap space to pay $2m+ a season to have all 3 bros play for them.
Tommy on his day is amazing.
Jake is whole hearted if not a bit overrated and Ben well who knows. Is that even his name? I'm trying to work FFS. Don't tell my employer

Whatever it is, we are definitely paying to much to re-sign him especially when you consider that Munster was just coming off a $800k backloaded contract and just re signed for $1m after rejecting $1.4m from the Dolphins.
That number for Munster seems fishy to me. Especially with Bellamy taking a back seat. The chance to play in your home state, at a new club and for 400k more seems hard to pass up. But it's Melbourne so I guess everything's above board.

That raises an interesting topic Re Drown... We often used to hear Sterlo talk about halves needing the difference between their best and worst games not being too stark.... Like, no point having Chris Sandow who could give you a 9 out of 10 one week but give you 3-4 out of 10 for the 6 weeks straight after....

What do people reckon Drown's difference between best and worst looked like in 2022? I reckon 8.5 best and 5.5 or 6 worst performances. I don't recall any out and out stinkers from him. Quiet maybe but not a liability in any games...
Dylan covers a lot of shortcomings with his elite defence. It's probably why last year when he had an average season the blow torch wasn't on him.

Sandow was a liability everywhere in defence. Whoever made the decision in 2011 to sign him from souths was an idiot.

Tom has played 40 games over the past 4 years. To put into context how much time he has spent on the sidelines, Papa has played more NRL games for the Eels. If you're going to pay someone over a million the only time they shouldn't be playing is when they're ineligible because of origin.

*EDIT* Josh Hodgson has played more NRL games in the past 4 years than Tom has ffs

Yes. The problem kind of sucks for them. I mean when fit he is top 3 players in comp but rarely is fit. And being a local junior if you cut him the fans would be ropeable.
Is there some sort of salary cap compensation for players that miss so many games?

Who cares its Manly.

They love it when we get beat.

No sympathy for me when it comes to them. I hope they rot down the bottom half for a decade.

Tommy is a great player but they are in a similar situation to Parramatta when we had Hayne at his peak. Too reliant on one player/megastar. Hayne was injured throughout 2012/13 and we won the spoon.
We barely won a game without Jarryd for 3-4 years before he left to the NFL.

But ironically take Jarryd out of his return year in 2018 & since he left in 2014 we have only had one season when we didn't finish without a winning record with no Jarryd and that was 2015.

2016-17, 2019-2022 we have won more then lost.

If Tom wants to go Manly should let him go and restructure there salary cap.

Teddy's on a mill
Papenhuazen apparently on a mill
Guths in 780k
Latrell would be close to 1 mill.

If fit Tom's easily worth it. Even if he could get 18 games a year he is. I mean he is that good. Aslong as those games are in the finals.

What has Tommy Trbo ever really done in the Finals?

Seibold is an interesting decision as Head Coach if Manly go that way. I rate him highly as very good tactical mind, but something obviously went a miss at the Broncos. I know they were a very young side at the time, but there had to be more than that to their complete capitulation under Seibold.
Wasn't he alleged to have [redacted] the team captain's [redacted] in the [redacted]?

With Moses injury, our 2024 is done.

It's now now longer a question of the current coach being around long term, but who replaces him, because the current coach is now just a matter of time.

Let the discussion begin...who is our next coach.
