Eels plan to sign Peats

At the time on social media a huge portion of souths fans called peats slow, he lacks direction, he stops our momentum, he is maguires pet, he is just a tackler, he has no running game, the guy isnt first grade standard etc

I think you'll find a lot more people really rated Peats highly than were critical of him in his time with Souths. Peats was always a classy 9, just Isaac Luke was so far ahead of him and most other hookers in the comp too. He was given blessing to leave because he wanted to be a starting hooker and as long as Luke was at the club he'd never get that.

People give a lot more weight and attention to negative criticism than positive comments.
