Lost 28-24 to the Gary Freeman coached North Sydney side at Cabramatta. Not much to report although Justin Tsoulos was carried from the field with what looked to be a kneee injury. Chad Robo and Henry Perenara seemed to come through it ok.

Interesting to see that Jeremiah Pai was playing for Norths, due to them being a feeder for the Storm.

Yeah i was at the game ... was quite entertaining though the eels seemed to be a little lost at times and handling was quite poor... Norths would have won by a lot more if they had a decent kicker .. think he got 2 from 6 or 7 attempts...

First time i'd seen Blake Green play and was quite impressed ... kicked TWO 40/20's although one the doofus linesman didnt call ... but everyone in the stand knew it was ..

Joel Reddy was supurb, Fui made a few good hits

That blonde bloke, the half appeared to have a broken hand and left early in the 2nd half but i didnt think he was particularly playing to well anyway, Green seemed to play better once he was off and had more responsibility

Good to see Mickey and the boys in the stands watching the game too ..

Cant wait for next Saturday

GO THE EELS!

I couldnt go to the match so could you guys tell me any information, eg. scorers. Who stood out for the Bears? What are your thoughts on the Bears.
Any more news would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the scores.

North Sydney 28 (S Webb, J Swamy, B Ellis, N Davui, A Heremaia tries A Heremaia 4 goals) defeated Parramatta 24 (J Reddy, A Graham, B Green, F Moimoi tries J Reddy 4 goals)
at Cabramatta Sports Ground

http://www.nswrl.com.au/index.cgi?det=1&intArticleID=457&sID=27

Bears goalkicking cant be to bad if he got 4/5 or did the Bears attempt a few penalty kicks.

Were there any injuries for the Bears?

We won the second game 40-16. In the premier league Blake Green looks he could play first grade at some time this season . Blind touchie did not help. There was a dubious try that Norths scored in the first half where their halfback appeared to have lost control of the ball over the line. John Williams made a few good runs and Joel Reddy had a solid game at fullback.

HM we won 48-6

SGB we won 40-16 with Keating having a pearler.

We were very ordinary in Premier league, we were simply out coached and out enthused by a highly commited Bears outfit, our standouts were Green who was excellent at first reciever, Williams and Reddy were busy all day and Pera, Robo and Fui when on was the pick in our pack. Jim Storer a former souths premier league hooker/half played well when covering for Hendo at various stages of the match but unfortunatly 2 costley errors on his part put paid to a possible victory. He could be an excellent find though.

Congratulations to the Bears who thouraghly desearved their victory.

other tidbits:

*Good news, Marcus Peranara will only be out for 4-5 weeks with his ankle injury and he was wrapt at the positive news he received on Monday.

* found out from a very good source that Jarryd Hayne will only be out for 2 months instead the rest of the year which means he could be back before the SG Ball play offs.

* the first grade sqaud were all there and had a ball work session straight after the match and Hindy was dressed ready to kill. which is good news for us bad news for the tigers.

* spoke to Micky V who was there and in perfect spirits before he's radiotion therapy that starts on Monday.

* heard a couple of Juicy whispers around the ground about some ex eels who could possably head back home next year, but there's no real point in speculating until June to see whether it comes to fruition. Mind you I heard similar rumours last year but never really eventuated.

Were you able to find out how tsoulos pulled up? Didnt look too good.

all I can say about JT was he tried to get into a car after the match with his leg straightened and almost looked like a comedy routine.

he wasn't lookin crash hot that's for sure.

Good to see both lower grades getting wins both remain undefeated for the year (ok so they have only played 2 matches but it's still true)

Don't say out coached ;-)
Pleased to hear Green having a big game and I'm hoping no major injuries from the day?

Would be pushing it for Hayne already in week 2 of the comp and it's a 9 week comp + 4 weeks finals so 8 weeks will have it at the 2nd week of the finals, basically Parra would need to make the GF for him to play then there is the issue of match fitness, but still good to hear who knows Hayne may even get called into Flegg later in the year.

Hopefully Hindy will play will wait till it's a bit closer tho.

Rumours are always fun  wonder if one of them was Ian after all the rumours that the Hindy Boys will be reunited soon.

Also from the storm Ian Donnelly and Tevita Metuisela (Ian Donnally was particularly good for us). Comgrats to both sides but I have to say we really put on a show towards the end there with some of those combinations :D

Very excited about Green. Seems as if he could be something special in the years to come. Very good news about Perera, M.

Daniel Russell #-o Mate told me he was just as bad this week as last week. Hope he is not becoming one of those players.

I would not judge him on this game as he left early with a broken hand. ObviouslyI did not see how he went last week. If he's anything like his brother... keep him. Maybe half is not his bag. A centre maybe?

Dissapointing to read that scoreline but thats excellent news about green in his 1st full match of PL it sounds like he did well. The kid is all class. And lets not forget in the space of one year he he come from SG BALL to PL, Last player do that for us was Jamie Lyon. Blake Green will win alot of 1st grade games for us.

Can Anyone tell me How Kris Inu went in the Ball??? This kid is special.

Daniel russell should not be let near another Parra jersey he makes Benny Kusto look like Andrew Johns, cop the tip.
