On the NRL show on One HD last night they said that there was a rumour going around that a Sydney CEO is on the nose and will not be there next year.

Wonder which one will announce that they "have elected to spend more time with their family" ?

I doubt it would be Doust, Greenberg, Noyce, Humphries or Leary (he's only just started at Penrith).

So that leaves Richardson, Osborne, Lowe or Fisk.

leary is not new has been in charge of penrith for a while

Brett Cook has stepped up from coaching Wenty's extremely successful Bundy Cup squad to take on the NSW Cup head coach role.

So as far as credentials go he is off to a solid start.

Thanks, mate. That sounds good. I hope the first grade coach communicates with him better than our previous first grade coaches have. Cheers.

Does our Media Manager have time to answer questions in a CEO blog though?
It's certainly worth a CEO's time.

You'd be surprised how something as simple as this can build people's engagement with the club. If they feel their CEO takes the time to answer them sensibly, even shows a sense of humour (though we've seen too much attempted humour from Ozzie) and humanity in their answers, people are more likely to feel an attachment to the club. I've seen this happen at Sydney FC.

Anyway, no matter who it is, it shouldn't take too long...

...if people ask sensible questions...

To avoid ridiculous questions, someone on the forum can be nominated to check all questions and see if they are legitimate, and give the CEO - or whoever answers - a day or so prior to reading them.

I have seen the Sydney FC one where the CEO sometimes doesn't answer for days, simply because he is busy. Fans understand that and, to be honest, it would only take one small session at the computer per week to answer most questions.

But I have, in the past, been looked straight in the eye on several occassions by several board members and told that they WOULD hold a fan forum(s). It was just one item in which they took to the election(s).

What would it achieve? At the very least, it would show to the fans that the board and club won't distance themselves from the very people who keep this club alive.

Hear, hear.
So the average member would know exactly who to approach at a game about a membership issue?
And this is the problem with the "people should just approach a board member themselves" suggestion. The club and board members have to make the effort imo to become known, and be approachable to the average member (rather than just the members with "insider knowledge", or the members who hang out regularly at the club).

A regular fan forum (as promised) would achieve this, and show that the club and board members are willing to make that effort - something previous boards have been slammed for in the past, but where very little has changed.
