lol

what will he write about now if we don't lose any points

I know it is highly unlikely that we don't get penalised for something but if we get really lucky and don't lose points the melt down is the media is going to be epic and a real joy to watch.

The article about Seward and Irvine's emails to try and get Mossop and Beavis their $50,000 reminded me a lot of the amateur efforts mentioned in this article from 2.5 years ago. Seems quite humourous to read now, quotes from Spags and Seward and many of the names involved are the same...

Suspicions raised about sale of Moimoi's car to official

Date November 1, 2013 Chris Barrett

Fuifui Moimoi and his old Ford Falcon have wound up embroiled in the allegations directed at Roy Spagnolo that have resulted in the former Parramatta chairman being banned from the board for two years.

Among the questions put to Spagnolo after an independent audit of the former Parramatta Leagues Club administration was why Moimoi, the Eels forward who used to be managed by Spagnolo, was paid $15,000 by the club in November last year for his car when it had a likely private sale price value of between $3800 and $5200.

The car, a 2004 Falcon, was bought off Moimoi for the use of the Eels' welfare manager Jason Irvine. The difference in what Moimoi was paid by Parramatta and what the vehicle was said to be worth could be considered a minor salary cap breach if proved.

It has also been claimed Moimoi was paid a ''licence fee'' of $596 in October last year which, like the payment for the car, was allegedly accounted for improperly.

Spagnolo disputes the allegations raised about the payments to Moimoi in the report by Russell Corporate Advisory, saying that the club's then head coach and Parramatta Leagues Club chief executive had been involved in helping him locate a car for Irvine.

''Ricky Stuart, myself and Bob Bentley sat there, and they needed a car immediately for one of the new people,'' Spagnolo said.
''Fui was trying to sell his car, and I was aware of it, and he said he wanted $15,000. We did a valuation online [at Redbook], it was $14,200 and we agreed to give him $15,000. It had mag wheels, it had woofers.

''I had nothing to do with it - all I did was make Ricky Stuart and Bob Bentley aware that Fui was selling the car, and that was it.''

It is understood the Eels are prepared to self-report to the NRL if they uncover any evidence of salary cap infringements.

''I'm not aware of anything right now, and we certainly make a commitment that if there is anything that we need to be aware of we'll research and investigate it properly and take the action we need to take,'' Parramatta football club chief Scott Seward said.

Only took the appointment of Daniel Anderson, some help from Ian Schubert, the NRL's first review and suggestions for governance improvements, and now surviving a stream of disgruntled leaking to get us past the dire efforts of the (3)P..revious mal-administration.

Imo Sharp's Board has done an admirable job getting us from "there" in 2013 to where we are "here" in 2016. The NRL (upon announcing their first enquiry) gave them credit for working constructively to fix up all of this past shit, and hopefully the NRL will show consistency in realising any small technical breach in the Watmough TPA is not deserving of points deduction given the context of the state in which the previous adminsitration left our club.

My reaction to the media and the general NRL pundits currently death-riding us IF we don't lose points.

*Edit* Actually, that is pretty much my default reaction to modern media - cap drama or no.

You serious?? He will write about the fact that we didn't lose points ad nauseam for a year.

It'll be never ending stories about how did we get away with it and how the NRL went soft and let us off the hook, because reasons..

Obviously not because we weren't guilty or didn't deserve to lose points, he's already decided that we're guilty, because of the piles of non-evidence he's not seen..

I havent watch the video and dont plan on to but he did he say the nrl are softening their stance to take 10 pts off us. Cause i wouldn't call that soft at all. That will be season done anyway unless we managed to win 18 games and scrap into the 8.

What do the journos stand to gain from the emp if he gets back involved somehow?!?!?

Or is it more the clickbait that feeds their jobs in the present?

Clickbait. They could care less about DF's crusade. The stories are selling papers, puts them in good with their bosses, as long as people are reading this garbage, they'll keep on writing it.

Lol paul kent you goose, it's your opinion it's not the truth it's only what you believe.
Illegal team? where is the team Illegal this year? all the leaked media stuff is stating 2013,14 maybe 15 not 2016.
Paul Kent if the NRL investigation shows they is only minor breaches related to 3rd party deals and we only get a fine will he come out and say that the NRL do the full investigation and come up with the right result based on that? i doubt it.
If we win the premiership all the telegraph will right is we cheated.
They just trying to make it look worse than it is because the team their employer owned cheated much worse for much longer.

Kent on NRL 360 last week, said that if these TPA breaches are proven then it is just as bad as when the Storm and Bulldogs cheated. LOL

I think he's the exception though, and it isn't all about views and readership with him, he really seems to have an axe to grind.

When you see him talk about it, he seems almost giddy, like he's happy about it.

 Even Luke Kelly hasn't been hooked during one of his shockers!

Paul Kent therefore... is sub-Luke Kelly?

Paul Kent was never a first grade footballer, he was an ordinary reserve grader at best, his one and only appearance was from memory to qualify the guy who replaced him, ( may of been Jason bell ) to the reserve grade semi final squad
He's a nuffy
