I think if I was a neutral I'd be tipping us to not win a game in the finals this year. And I wouldn't be happy to be proved wrong.
If our strongest team was available come finals time, and nobody was returning from injury but had played the season un-hampered, I reckon we could have challenged. As it stands, with Guth out, Kritchard and Scott only outside chances of playing again, French struggling with his hammy and the likes of Fritchard and Terepo only just getting back to match fitness, I think we're a bit skinny and not ready to mix it with the big boys in September at this stage. But it will hopefully provide a launching pad for 2018
Or we will be the smokies and finally put together 3 hight quality games of which we are capable of having seen glimpses throughout the season to date (i.e. rock solid defence and blistering attack on the back of quality second phase play, albeit in different games).
