Eels the real test

I don't think the Eels are much of a threat at all. The threat is whether the guys take it seriously enough.

Last week's win was on the back of an awful handling display (apparently even Mander made a comment late in the game like "... you won't see this again"). When they held it for a bit they really pushed us back.

The way i see it: if we begin with a good solid defence - which we displayed last week - and good ball security for the first 30 to build a platform we'll finish all over them. If both teams are equally disciplined, I think we've got much more class - and even more important - teamwork.

Having said all that Stuey gives me this feeling that he's got his feet well and truly on the ground and that the team has as well. I was so impressed with the Broncos game how at 0-12 after 10 minutes our guys didn't panic. And with the Roosters game when the Chooks got back to 20-12 again they didn't panic, they went on with it.

I think the Eels will start with a lot of huff and puff and then run out of ideas. I'd say 30-10 would be a fair guess.

Parramatta rely on getting a good start. If we can hold them out for the first 15-20 minutes they'll give up, sully comes on, and you know the rest...

Very true. The problem is we've been very slow off the mark in several games this year. I'd hate to see us do what the Roosters did and let in in two or three early tries - while we're now capable of coming back from that, it would make it very tough.

Still, if we're in the game after the first quarter-hour, we can crack open the winner's champagne.

And let's hope Stevo give Hindmarsh a mega-wedgie.

Yeah, one of those atomic jobs. Problem is, HIndmarsh's shorts are so small Stevo would end up ripping them to shreads

What are you so worried about?

Our crunch game was two weeks ago, and apart from Vella, Hindmarsh and McKinnon, NOBODY bothered to play.

We are battling to avoid the spoon - you'd think that's enough motivation to get the arsewipes to pull their fingers out.

But no. Not Parra.

You guys will SMASH us. As much as I hate to say it.

We are worried because we have cause to be. Too many times we have been disappointed when we have expected results. Ive just got the feeling, that even though we are playing well, our trash early form isnt that far behind us and it wont take much of a slide to get back there.
And you guys have been unpredictable.

if we dont win wwe wont make the semis. we should have the motivation to do so, however we have been pretty crap at home this season. parra will play hard for about the first 20 minjutes. we have to demolish their wills quickly. if we play as good as last week we will win. its just a question of moitivation

If we don't beat Parramatta we don't deserve to be in the semis. It's that simple.

I think i predicted the score to be 38-22.. But now i am getting a bit worried, and i can see it being a game like the Warriors match, very scrappy, but we do enough to get the points..
As much as i'd love a big win, i will be very happy just to get the 2 points..

We've been playing well for the last few weeks - the difference against the rorters was ball control and a bit more aggression in defence. Kicking game still not good but the heart is there and that should stay. You could be right newman but I think theres a bit more confidence now and the boys are playing for their places in the team come the finals.

We win today by 40 points. We must! Even Daley and Gould will have to take notice.

We will see tonight if the boys really want to make a tilt for the semis in this game. If they dont pick up from last week and demolish the squeels then even if we make the semis it wont be fun to watch. This game lies squarly on Kents and Sullys kicking game.
