The scoreline looks bad but the result means nothing. LOL@Eels fans chest beating over this non event. Even if we were to have a disappointing season, we would still be the most recent premiers and they haven't won since before the current oldest NRL players were even born.
Reminds me of the chest beating of Tigers fans after our loss during origin and look where they ended up lol

A good start with a full squad is important, and if Parra can bottle what they did today, they should have a good start to the season...if they duplicate the form they have shown today...if.

They won 9 of their first 10 games last year but choked as usual.

It's not fun to watch but no Cleary, Yeo, JFH, Martin or Edwards to name a few against a Parra team treating this like a proper competition game and it's not too surprising what's happening. I don't think we'll win very often when Staines is at fullback and O'Sullivan is at half.

Edwards kick returns
Yeo giving backs space were key plays missing
Kicking everytime from your 40 won't win games

Ran the rust out of a few guys is what you want here

Exactly.

Exactly
I hope we don't. Fuel us up for our next meeting with Parra.

I agree.

The bringing down to earth, won't hurt Penrith, one little bit. That run in the last couple of minutes by Tiny May looked quite nice.

Salmon plays due to being versatile

Sorensen display out wide was average. Paired with how Smith played sees him get the final bench spot

Now we know how the Sharks felt last week when they fielded an under strength side.

We were just as understrenth as the sharks last week. This week has been disappointing but just missing to much of the forwards and spine against a fired up full strength Parra side.

That is it. Had no go forward throw in no Edwards to start sets off better and led to no field position. A few errors and that is what you get
