If we were talking about Michael Hagan or Brian Smith this board would be going nuts.

Anderson has turned us into the worst attacking team in the comp. Not just this year, but his entire reign at the club aside from 8-9 weeks last year.

Seems his plan is just to sign Cooper Cronk for next year.

This year just feels like a complete waste of what should have been a really exciting season for us

I dont think you remember the rabble we were in 2008. We struggled then to score points.

We have no halves end of story. No hooker either. Robson is doing a good job there but we still dont have points from there. Mortimer makes me sick to be honest. He has absolutely no freakin idea when to bomb when to pass when to grubber. He is the worst halfback we have ever had. I swear he better be thanking his lucky stars he has a good surname. The club should ban him from press duties until he actually does something in first grade

Or just play him in reserve grade. Our halves problem date back to hagan that moron. We had hodgkinson & malone. Those guys are like superstars compared to that imposter running around in the 7 now

Fish, Im a Ando fan, but his love affair with Morts at halfback is just berwildering. It seems he is detirmed to have him there and thats the end of it. The team is really living or dying by the decision and unfortunately ando may live or die by his reluctance to face the truth.
Some coaches do have favourite players and it seems that Morts may be Andos favourite player. I cannot see how he has not been dropped by now. Any other player who served the crap that he has this year would have been dumped long ago but ando keeps pressing on.
The halfback is the main man, the quarterback of the side. He is not there to do all the tackling, he is not there to be a brave player. His job is the direction of the team in attack. Morts just isnt doing it. Fullstop, end of story.
If Ando is not going to make a decision it may just bring his coaching career to a halt at parra because there ARE vultures waiting in the wings.

Sorry guys but Mortimer has nothing. No vision, no creativity.

This probably the best pack of forwards we had in the last 20 years yet all the go forward is being wasted.
We have field position and we are rolling forward but it's coming to nothing because our halfback has got nothing.

I would move Robson back to 7 and put Humble at 6. KK to 9 and Mitchell to the bench.
Moritmer can have a run with Wenty for a while to work on his kicking game.

I love Anderson and his passion for the club, but geeze, something has to happen in the halves and Mortimer. We've actually regressed as a side since last season which is what is most disappointing.

and in his own words, he threw away the playbook and just let things go

What is most dissapointing is that Ando doesnt seem to be able to see it. He has publically stated that Morts is our No 1 halfback and isnt going anywhere, but he has to realise that the season is almost gone. We are starting to get some injuries and the games we should have won will well and truly bite us now.
Ando has to be commended for backing Morts but perhaps Morts just doesnt have the ability to do the job ? His father and uncles rave about his passing game but when was the last time Morts did a cut out pass ? or set up a play ???
I stand by my posts last year when i said that he was riding on his surname. He would struggle playing for Orange old boys.

The way Ando sees it, if we bought Cronk we would probably play Cooper at Hooker so Morts can do what he does best.

Does anyone else think Mortimer is being asked to do a job he was probably never really suitable at doing? He's being asked to organise plays and set up tries when that was never his strength. If he had a proper halfback with him and he played five eighth I'm sure he could still be useful with his support play and enthusiasm. Those are the things he excelled at last season.

Whose fault is it really that the situation is as it is?

Absolutely horrible performance. Mortimer is one of the worst halfbacks I've seen, he creates nothing, has the worst kicking games and is obsessed with stepping back inside when he have numbers to spread it wide. I can't believe how long it is taking him to adapt to becoming a halfback surely it;s time to swap him for someone.

Mateo touched the ball about 2 times the whole game off memory, and when he did get we actually almost scored or looked dangerous.

Inu was our best player, not that anyone played good but he was solid.

And it's become clear that what Hayne did for us last year was all him, he carried pretty much the same team as last year (we only lost Kingston and Lowrie) to the grand final and he made all these average at best players look brilliant e.g. Reddy, Mortimer just to name a few.

Things are going down hill when at this time of the year they should be going up.

Our last tackle options are terrible when attacking the oposition line. It is the same kick to the winger, kick to the winger, kick to winger.

Has anyone in the side heard of GETTING A REPEAT SET !!!!

Now the question is can the coach or the players be blamed for this !!!!

After tonights gaem I feel like how I did after the sharks loss last year when mortimer made his debut. My opinion then as it is now is we don't have a chance this season. But we know what happened last year so I won't give up yet !!!
